Hersheypark is getting better and better. Every coaster they have built is now like a top-ten ride.
How does that work? They now will have 11 coasters.
-
All I could find other than the flash page was a PDF press release and a PDF Fact Sheet (and one for Howler). No images though, other than the wallpapers.
^11 of us definitely got more than just the sneak preview. So, what are the "final 11 investors" getting in 2008?

Okay, I admit it: I was wrong. Nantimi was legit. Let me just say that Hershey was really clumsy with this by not having an official trailhead to give this legitimacy (it could have been something as simple as "© Nantimi" on the bottom of the teaser page).
Oh, and having another ride that looks like Storm Runner (at least to the GP) is not a good move for them either. This has the same style track, the same trains (just shorter), and a tophat. But I guess now that Batman and Robin is coming down at SFGAdv, there needs to be some park with two tophat coasters.
I bet Gerstlauer is pissed. The vertical chain lift followed by a 97 degree drop is ripped straight from the Euro Fighter. Even the colors are similar to Speed.
Look familiar?

^^^ I really don't think there is any doubt now! That's CRAZY!^ Oh yeah. Nantimi = Hershey for certain.
<- This is what I'm actually doing right this second, by the way.
I don't see how a NoLimits video proves anything about Nantimi being legit. Half the people on this board could've created a similar video. Don't you think Hershey would've been able to hire VIP or some professional animation house to do an animation, instead of a clumsy NoLimits sim (with several track glitches)?
-
I still say that, come tomorrow, Hershey is not going to be announcing this coaster. They would be able to do better than NoLimits.
-
I'm just saying, given the lack of a proper trailhead tying this thing to Hershey, and the implausibility of building a coaster that, to the GP at least, looks so much like Storm Runner, I'd be really suprised if what you get at 11:11 is anything other than a big "HA HA FOOLED YOU".
I agree about the looking like Storm Runner thing, but I don't think Hershey would do that. It seems like they put a lot of effort into this and can you imagine the backlash it would cause if they didn't put in a coaster?
You missed my point. All the legitimate promotional Alternate Reality Games had a trailhead that gave them legitimacy: The Beast (the original ARG) was started with a fake name on the AI movie poster, I Love Bees was started with a URL in the Halo 2 trailer, Vanishing Point was started by an ad on an official Microsoft blog, Year Zero was started with hidden links on a Nine Inch Nails web page, etc. If this was really Hershey, there would've been a connection from an official page or ad to Nantimi.
I think this is some guy in Pennsylvania who is having some fun at your expense.

Your countdown is off by 12 hours, it seems to be counting down to 12 midnight, not 12 noon.

There are two ways to get 20% off each ticket:
1. Sign up for Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards (if you aren't already a member). Then print out your card and bring it to the ticket booth. They should give you 20% off each ticket (up to 4 per rapid rewards card).
2. Go to http://commerce.4adventure.com/store/promotions.asp and enter Promo Code "Cingular". Select "Busch Gardens Williamsburg", and you can buy 1-day Print@Work (you can print them anywhere, it doesn't have to be from work) tickets for 20% off.
I much prefer the second method, because you (a) don't have to wait in the long ticket booth lines, and (b) you're guaranteed your price, and don't have to worry about the person at the ticket booth not accepting your rapid rewards card. I've done the Print@Work thing many times, and they never ask for any sort of Cingular ID.
Don't forget you can also buy a parking pass in advance to save a buck.

I gotta agree, #1 is Grizzly River Run at DCA and #2 is Popeye at IOA. None of the others even come close.

Someone on another forum checked the IP of one of the nantimi emails and found (claimed) that it did in fact belong to Hershey. I lack the know-how to do this myself, can anyone else on here try that and see what they come up with? I am sold that this is a marketing campaign by Hershey, yet I have no concrete evidence to back it up with myself...I still haven't seen any solid proof that it is Hershey. But that doesn't mean that it isn't...
Well, that someone was wrong. Hershey Park's website (hersheypa.com and hersheypark.com) is located at 64.239.69.150, which is an IP address owned by Interland. Nantimi.com is located at 209.151.228.210, which is an IP address owned by Cyberverse. I don't see any possible connection.

if its not hershey park why if you send info@Nantimi.com an e-mail you getI will be out of the office starting 09/07/2007 and will not return until
07/31/2010.
I have resigned my position with HE&R effective Friday, September 7, 2007.
My email will be checked periodically for a few weeks. If this is for
advertising, please contact our agency, MayoSeitz Media, at 215.647.8700.
If you need immediate assistance, please email Mike Peiffer at
Anyone can say anything they want in an email. Has Mike Peiffer confirmed that he has any connection to Nantimi?

Did anyone else look up the WHOIS info for Nantimi.com?

Intamin.
Okay, the only coaster of theirs that I've ridden is El Toro, but it outclasses every other wooden coaster I've been on.
-
I really wish I could meet up with you guys on the East Coast trip, but the 7th through the 18th is the exact time frame that my big Disney World trip is planned for.
-
So your point is that Cedar Point's policy sucks as well? Agreed.
There are hundreds of park that don't charge $2 to store stuff for one ride.
-
The point is that Six Flags charges 4 times as much as Busch Gardens and Cedar Point. And that parks like Disney (at least DCA) and Universal (at least Universal Orlando) give you the lockers FREE for the first 3 hours ($5 an hour after that).
-
It's kinda hard to remember, since my home parks went from being SFMM/Knott's/DL/DCA/USH to SFNE in 2002. However, off the top of my head I can come up with:
Hydra at Dorney (rode it opening weekend)
Shamu Express at SWO (rode it opening day)
Silver Bullet at Knott's
Mummy at USH
Storm Runner at Hershey
El Toro at SFGAdv
Sheikra at BGT
Scream at SFMM
Tatsu at SFMM
Italian Job at PKD/KD
Space Mountain 2005 at Disneyland (new track, new themeing, same layout, so this is a sorta)
I also have a trip to BGW/BGE planned for next month to ride Griffon

Something tells me they don't have Guida's in like, the valley OMG

Lake Compounce and Guida's Milk have a deal where a coupon for $12 off at Lake Compounce is printed on 1 gallon containers of Guida's Milk that are sold during the month of July. The coupon code can be used online to buy tickets. I will be going to Lake Compounce in September, but there isn't anywhere in New Hampshire that sells Guida's, and I can't really drive to Massachusetts or Connecticut this month.
Therefore, if anyone who lives in the parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, northern New Jersey and New York State (including Long Island) where they sell Guida's could copy off the code from a container of milk and post it here by the end of the month, I would really appreciate it. And, if the code is different on each container, posting a bunch here for all TPRers would be nice. You shouldn't have to actually buy any milk.
For more info, see http://www.lakecompounce.com/guidas/
Thanks.

Ahh yes, I forgot about the Water Balloon drop.
-
^that was actually only 1/4 of the show. Other challenges included passing a ball between two people on Superman, keeping a ball in a cup on X, and completing an obstacle course after riding Spinout.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but here is a page with a bunch of people actually doing this:
