How long would it take it get the park ready to re-open? I saw there were some glitches on opening day Is it dependent on how long the park is closed? I know that there is a lot of guesswork in any answer, but we’ve little else to do

I agree. I would hope for a neat dark, I would think something based on a moonshine run in a mountain cave would be really neat. Screamscape had some potential new rides a while back (http://www.screamscape.com/html/dollywood.htm. Look for 4/19 post) and I hope these happen. I would be disappointed to see just another coaster

What does Dollywood do for New Year’s Eve ?

Dollywood is magical at Christmas, worth the trip by itself especially if you have younger members of the family. The Smoky Alpine Coaster, and Goats on the roof coaster are great, especially if you can schedule a day and a night ride (usually a reduced cost if done on the same Day. Never done the Titanic museum, but the Hatfield and McCoy dinner show is a favorite

Crickets. But I’d expect them to announce SOMETHING before 2020 season passes go on sale. They did this in early Nov 2017 when they announced the “Season of Showstoppers” for 2018 which featured concerts and upgraded festivals. We will still go and buy annual passes, but I was hopeful for something new. I will they’d bring the bubble lady back for the Festival of Nations

Anyone heard any rumors about Dollywood 2020? We may be in the are for Easter and wondered what would be new. Also may be scouting the staff for a retirement home

The Pirate show in Myrtle Beach is enjoyable, it does feature some mildly loud cannon effects that may upset the very young. (We haven't seen the version there) The meal is good but not great here, and the vegan option was disappointing. Some of the diving stunts are really cool, and the sword fights are fun. Its worth getting to the venue early to see the preshow. We enjoyed the Hatfield and McCoy show a bit more.
