Does anyone know what time the announcement will be made?

Knott's Boomerang after all? It would fit pretty well in that space.. knotts boomerang would fit really well in that area if they used part of the perking lot. Having a cobra roll right next to the front entrance would look great when driving into Valleyfair. I don't know if a boomerang is a "classic attraction" but they said it would be finding a "new home"

all of the rides were down before the tornado warning was issued. They all were down by 7:30. The park was pretty much empty

So was walking into valleyfair today and I saw 3 tractors going to the back of the employee parking lot behind renagade, along either that I noticed portable light towers behind renagade. I don't know what they were doing but there is around 8 pickup trucks driving all around the employing parking lot.

If thunder cannon became part of the water park wouldn't that completely block off the back of the park to expand?

I know what you're talking about. Right when it raises off the ground it's a loud bang and scares you. I have noticed that but I feel like it's been that way forever.

it really depends on the day you go, the time of day you go and the weather. But you will rarely see a wait time over 20 mins

Did he bring anybody with him like Rob Decker? If he has Rob with him then maybe that is a sign that something will happen this year. Or it just could be his yearly visit that he does for all of the parks which is probably the case. Thanks for the info though. Since you work there and have access to behind the scene area's, how is the progress going on the new employee parking lot and road? he is just there for a yearly visit, Andy I haven't scene the heavy machinery move in a long time.

probably, I think after removing a fairly large coaster(for valleyfair at least). They will add a invert to replace it, and instead of it going over the the main entrance it will go over the new water park entrance.

They would not be added a new parking lot and removing a decent coaster if nothing was coming to the dry park. In 2019 I strongly believe a inverting coasters is coming to the park. About 3000-3500 in length by B&M or intiam.

Kinda of a random question? But why don't you think North Star has a big entrance sign or anything? All other flat rides and all roller coasters have a nice entrance sign, why didn't North Star get one?

Yeah the mobile office might be for the Show, but there is definitely work being done.

Small bobcat along with like 5 pickup trucks were moving dirt or gravel behind the amphitheater today, didn't really see what was happening I just noticed it when I drove by. Along with that there was a onsite mobile office.

I understand that parks have similar rides, but all the parks named are way bigger parks then Valleyfair with a much larger Linup of thrilling rides.

I really believe that valley fair will never get a frizbee because it is to similar to xtreme swings, and for a small park it would make sense to invest in some thing completly different and new.

Here are some pictures of the back parking lot. The dirt road is complete new and was build this week. And the other pictures are of the heavy machinery(they weren't working on anything today).

So I know the a long shot, but do you think this could be Cedar Fair or Valleyfair dropping small hints about the new water park expansion?

That's great news, sounds like they are getting down to business! Can you get some pics? Yes I will, I tried to get some Monday but the rain was to heavy to get good shots. I'll try on my next shift which is Saturday.

I can you confirm that heavy machinery is in the Valleyfair employee parking lot and is working on removing dirt piles in the back of the parking lot where the new road is supposed to let out. Also many parts of the back area is blocked off.
