  1. ^There's no need to worry about their ability to add any future attractions. You'll be collecting social security long before they invest any more money into this park. After allocating all of these current funds, I can't imagine they'll consider any more E-Ticket attractions for a loooooooooooong time.

Look at Disneyland, when was their last E-Ticket added, 1996? (14+ Years!)

But if they do, I'm sure those imagineers will find a way to squeeze it in somewhere.

I for one will be glad when the work is completed, so we'll have the park the way it should/could have been when it originally opened.

  2. ^I hope you do a photo trip report of the Green Valley Ranch.

I remember a few years back that there was a TV show called 'American Casino', which was filmed at the Green Valley Ranch. I recalled it being an entertaining program at the time.

  3. Excellent trip report From The Future! (12/15/10)

So did you hop into a time traveling Delorean, or did you sling shot yourself around the sun Star Trek style? I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed that Ten Months from now that the new Dance Coaster still isn't finished! I mean come on already!

I really liked the way you did your trip report by focusing on many of the other details of the park. (instead of just an endless series of ride photos) The hole + cactus = whoops was hilarious! Also your custom TPR shirt is classic, if you attend the West Coast Bash, you'll have to wear it.

Now if you do another Time Traveling trip report, then head over to DCA so we can finally settle the debate over the new World of Color show.

  4. Another sign of the coming Apocalypse?

Either that or perhaps a certain 'family-friendly' theme park got a bit tired of a former employees consternation of their upcoming fountain attraction, and wanted to see him doused with some water sprinklers. (Which didn't go off--Yikes!)

In all seriousness, we all have freak events in our lives which catch us off guard. Glad to hear that you weren't injured.

  5. Nice work so far.

This kind had that Cloverfield feel to it. (the way its filmed and terror/suspense aspect)

You should forward your finished version to Bad Robot productions, so J.J. Abrams might possibly catch a glimpse of it. (A long shot I know, but in the Directors commentary for his Star Trek film he stated that the opening logo for the movie was designed by a 23 year old guy he came across on the internet.)

    Good Luck!

  6. My top 3 are Jds03, N7, and Jman.

I like Jds03 Club TPR logo the best. (I think it is good representation of the fun of this site)

N7 I like the overall look of the card. The colors, as well as the way the Theme Park Review name is shown.

Jman, I love the Donkey. I wish you could include a small version of him somewhere in the card. (Though I understand why you have reservations against using it)

Overall I think everyone who contributed their time to this effort did a Great Job!

  7. Famous?! I always thought they were infamous.

Robb and Elissa's extravagant lifestyle of jet setting around the globe visiting Theme Parks and exotic lands causes jealously, animosity, and envy among those who never leave their hometowns of squares ville USA.

This intern forces their obsessed dominions to stay logged onto TPR for hours on end.(As they try to live vicariously through Robb and Elissa) They despair as they begin to skip important meals as they try to sock away every spare penny they have to fulfill their gluttonous and lustful desire to attend a TPR trip.

The Alveys are famous?! I think not! (Several of the 7 Deadly Sins were included throughout this post)

  8. This is Great News!

I posted a Captain EO thread over the summer, and one of the articles talked about how HISTA attendance has plummeted in recent years. Apparently the venue only hosts a tiny fraction of its daily capacity.

I'm sure this move will boost attendance for however long they run it for, and perhaps they could bring it back every year during their HalloweenTime festivities.

I saw Captain EO during its original run, and I'll be looking forward to this rerelease.

  9. Wow I can't believe that I just read that entire (Non-Photo) trip report!

Glad you had a good time with your family and friends. Even though visiting the park is costly, Disneyland nows offers some additional financing options for 'Local' annual passholders. On the day of your trip you can apply your entrance fee ($72.00) towards a season pass, and pay an additional $6.00 per month. That will get you into the park for a total of 170 days throughout the year.(A pretty sweet deal)

Anyhow, your trip report was very detailed.(You even included your restroom breaks) I have a annual pass, but I haven't ridden many of the Fantasyland rides in a while, but after reading you report I be visiting them on my next trip.

You of course got to see DCA in all of its construction zone boarded up glory. But by your next visit, it hopefully will be transformed into a much improved park. I also was very happy with Toy Story Mania, its a really fun attraction.(and apparently your Moms a good shot)

On your next trip, bring along your camera. People don't mind reading, but always love photos!

  10. The imaginative people who developed this park must have had an interesting time coming up with a business plan to present to financial backers.

O.K. this is what we want to do.......

Aside from all of the Fun attractions that you see at every other park, WE want to expose our park patrons to all conceivable forms of bodily functions. Including but not limited to pooping, peeing, farting, and of course projectile vomiting.

So what do you think Bankers???..........................

    Plan Approved!!!

  11. I just read through all 21 pages of this post. As always the team of Robb and Elissa keep us informed as well as entertained.

It's great to see all of the innovations going on in the Theme Park industry. Because even in this leaner economic environment there will always be room for development and expansion.

I see that Dubai is still trying to entice the Alveys into a visit. With Wild Wadi adding new attractions, and the new Ferrari World. It will be interesting so see Dubai grow over the next decade, as it becomes the premier vacation spot in the middle east.
