  1. This is a perfect example of why so many people hate dealing with Americans: ME ME ME ME ME. Waahhh. You're going to lose MY business!!! (which is BS most of the time probably including this time) God forbid an amusement park is going to build something that other people are going to enjoy instead of you. What makes it even funnier is that it was extremely obvious Planet Snoopy was coming based off the teasers
  2. I think Cedar Fair has done a good job naming their new rides the past several years. Gold Striker came when the 49ers moved across the street, Fury (with the hornet theme) came when the Hornets came back in Charlotte, and the new star flyer at Valleyfair is called North Star a nice tribute to the history of Minnesota. Patriot is a perfectly fitting name for a park called GREAT AMERICA.
  3. I don't know why Six Flags likes doing these corporate ride announcement videos when so many of the rides are the same. This year there are how many Justice Leagues and how many S&S flippy coasters?
  4. Disney makes way too much money off of those tickets to just get rid of them, jacking up the prices until they finally start selling less is a much more likely scenario.
  5. I thought Ragin Cajun was taken out because it was low capacity and overall kind of a crappy/useless ride, especially now that the park has Dark Knight. If the rumor is true that this new ride is going to go near where Ragin Cajun was, there is some sort of strange irony that it would be replaced with one of those S&S spinny seat rides, which just like Ragin Cajun is low capacity and overall kind of crappy especially with X-Flight in the same park. I mean the ride is basically the same thing just with a vertical layout instead of horizontal.
  6. This is a completely uninformed opinion. Sea World was in big trouble long before Manby became CEO, they were actually in trouble long before Blackfish came out. Of course the movie made things worse but they would likely still be struggling even if the movie didn't exist. Jim Atchison was a terrible CEO that made lots of head scratcher movies and doesn't get enough of the blame for mismanaging the company for so many years. Just think of all the $ wasted just in Florida over the past 5 years: Antartica - $ 70 million for a ride nobody likes. Falcon's Fury - Blackfish was becoming popular, the company was losing gobs of money, and instead of building something reliable Jim Atchison decides to build an INTAMIN PROTOTYPE and then they advertise the hell out of a May 1st opening. It missed the whole summer (what a shocker). Sea World isn't Disney they can't just write these off and be OK, Sea World isn't owned by AB anymore that kind of money is a big deal. Also Manby pretty much had to end the whale thing as the company has no money to fight the litigation (remember it's illegal to breed whales in California now) which would be a long and extremely expensive process. All the money they have they need to re-invest to somehow try and get people back in the parks. Also Jim Atchison's "Blue World" thing was super expensive and wouldnt have brought anyone to the park, it wouldve been a gigantic waste of money and Manby knew that. Sea World is in big trouble. It seems like in the past 10 years or so everything bad that can happen to them has happened. From the time AB was bought out this company's problems started snowballing and the South American economy falling apart is just the latest.
