Ha sorry, I was just making a joke that they were going to announce the opening of a new ride (Roudy Racers) next week guess I will stick to my normal unfunny self. Beautiful pictures ^^^ I agree with you fun simple ride great addition.

I know for a fact there is going to be a big ride announcement next week!!! I even saw them doing some work on the area today! Hopefully, I'll be able to be there when they announce the opening next week and I'll be able to take a spin on this bad boy!!! New ride coming soon!!!

^ Yeah, I am a bit confused at how mikeykaise is drawing that conclusion about the slide tower. But I do agree with his assessment that the next major dry park expansion will be along the path between Storm Chaser and Eye of the Storm. I really hope its not going to be set up the way it is now because that path is really crummy. No trees, no theming, very narrow, and diverts traffic away from a much better path on the other side of Thunder Run. What I thought was funny about the map is the lights and spotlight on the Ampatheater. Which is still just being used for storage and still has the Batman Stunt Show backdrop up.

Opening day went great! The park was empty. They gave out the new 2017 park map (no idea why its not on the site yet), so you can look at it below. Also check out the new "Fun Under Construction" signs that were located all along the path between Eye of the Storm and Storm Chaser. Hopefully they will address that area quickly because right now it looks a little rough. The only other thing of note was some new slide pieces behind Skycatcher. Not enough for a new slide, so maybe just replacements or old pieces? 2017 Park Map New Slide Pieces Fun Under Construction

My guess is Saturday 4/29, Opening day. Get the news coverage for opening day and the big announcement. ...But I could also see them waiting till after Derby to hog the news cycle for that day. Guess time will tell.

Looks like Thunder Run and Storm Chaser got a new Red & Blue light package. They were testing it tonight. Looks good, majority of the lights are on Thunder Run. Only the path cross-over area of Storm Chaser had lights. Hopefully this means they are considering keeping the park open later? (Fingers-Crossed). Can't wait for the season to start! The first pieces of Eye of The Storm arrive (along with train). Yellow Loop, Purple Supports, Purple Train. The colors look great.

I've noticed that too. The main bit of work I've see is where the old Top Eliminator Dragsters used to be. I can't wait to see what they add! My guess is that spot looks perfect for a Zamperla 'Disk’O Coaster'. About the right size and shape of land. They could count it as a coaster (ugh) which bumps their coaster count.
