  1. Batman- fun to work on just because I like the challenge of rolling trains

It sounds like I've never had the pleasure of riding it when you were operating it then. I know it's almost impossible not to stack that ride for a little bit but holy hell that crew usually sucks.

PS: How come the grouper on that ride absolutely refuses to ever follow the park's own policy of letting people wait for the front even when they're standing under the huge sign about the front row line and therefore also standing on top of the obnoxious yellow line they painted for the front row line?

Every time I rode this year, they allowed me to wait. One operator told me that I was waiting on the wrong side though. He said "stay to the left" 'meant his left and not the left the sign directs to.

  2. ^Now that is a much better source! This email wasn't brought up yet. I'm not sure if they wanted you to post that though, since there's a confidentiality note that's half cut-off in the screenshot saying that it was only for you. Whoops, too late now!

I just emailed Jerry. It's fine to share, I read everything. Plus, all of this info had been released. The Instagram account New England Coaster Club, a known troll for the New England region, shared true info but added false facts along with it, which caused all of the confusion regarding this. I would trust the ACE account, but not NECC.

  3. So just to clarify and figure out all these rumors:

    True: Re-tracking wooden coasters.

    Maybe: New trains.

    False: Alan Schilke BS.

No, Alan Schilke did design the double up. The park announced months ago that the triple up was going to be removed. I have personally talked with jerry Brick, and the triple up is indeed going away. ACE confirmed with the park that schilke designed the double up. Why can't you people grasp that info?

  4. Yeeeaaahhhh I'm calling B.S. If I were a betting man, I'd put money on saying Tony put that there just to make us freak. I don't think a real construction stake would just blatantly have a manufacturer marker on it. Though the spray painted markers on the footers look legit though...

This has Tony trolling us written all over it

When SFNE was putting out markers for Wicked Cyclone, there was one or two of them that said RMC. Don't know if this means anything though.

  5. the rides look fantastic!

tho the English Minor in me (from UT Texas), makes me cringe everytime I look at those gorgeous signs

    "Catwoman Whip" and "Riddler Revenge"

    why not:

    "Catwoman's Whip" and "Riddler's Revenge" ?

did Six Flags save money by not using apostrophes???

No unfortunately, the park was not able to get the licensing for either to be possessive.

I find that strange as SFMM has Riddler's Revenge and SFNE has Catwoman's Whip

  6. I've always thought this would make a pretty interesting ride and it's pretty straight forward but I'll explain anyway.

Basically, the trains are loaded at the bottom and they are 4-D trains / wing seats. The seats rotate throughout the ride so that the riders themselves are always sitting straight up. The train is lifted up the tower and since the seats stay flat it would basically feel exactly like a drop tower and you'd get a great view of everything as you rise to the top. Once at the top the train releases and you get a 300-400 foot free-fall and head over to the other spike, where you'll get another free-fall and it goes through a few more cycles on gravity alone.

Not super original; basically a boomerang / half-pipe / drop tower / 4-d coaster hybrid on a huge scale. I just think the airtime and views on it would be pretty sweet.

So what Arrow proposed for Stratosphere tower a while back. This isn't a new idea or original.

  7. We all love coasters, but some really needs a refurb.

Post a roller coaster you think or want refurbished.

(Thread inspired from Incredible Hulk Coaster)

Honestly, Superman The Ride at SFNE. it's an amazing ride, but it's trains suck. I think if they got brand new trains, and did some track work, it could easily be the best again. It's still my #1, but it could be better.

  8. IDK if any of you guys noticed, but the airtime is really bad compared to last year. Like on the hill after the drop usually you would get airtime before you hit the top and you'd be pulled back down, but I felt it was you get to the top and pop just a bit and kind of fall down quickly and ride the bottom of the hill. It was similar on the others, and I felt serious vibration on/after the overbank (on the S-turn).

My theory is because the center of gravity has been put back into its intended position, then you don't float as much as when the speakers added upward force and a higher center of gravity. Also, the intensity isn't really there because there's no music...

I actually disagree completely! I think it depends on where you are seated on the train. I was at the park on Saturday, with all my rides towards the back, and the airtime was as good as always. As for the vibrations, they have been there forever, and are a lot better than they were at the end of last year. I think once the summer weather hits, it will be running great again.
