While I am excited about your future investments at Elitch Gardens, I cannot get over the fact that the man I hate most is running that theme park. (Stan Kroenke, the guy who's trying to take football away from STL. Sorry bud I understand. I'm an avalanche fan and wish he invested more into the team the last few years. With elitches though he isn't the only owner so hopefully they keep on him to keep this park in top shape.

Slidezilla opens today 6-14-15 for full operations. It's super fun.

So I did testing rides on it today. So much fun. This will be a serious win for elitches. IMO four person raft is the best and if you can, get as close to the weight limit as possible. Plenty of air time and loads of fun!

Slidezilla will be testing today. Might open by end of day. Open tomorrow if any of the little things get taken care of.

Mr twister was much too broken down to move. Wish they would have rebuilt it, but the cost of doing that was too high.

I am an employee of the park and wish there was more room. We have creative ideas to use some of the land we have though. Will have to see what the new owners want to do.

Yes we were bought by a couple of investment groups jointly. I believe Kroenke Sports has a 55% stake. They announced today that they will be investing millions into the park. As employees we are super excited even though it will mean more work for us. Kroenke owns the Pepsi center that is across the train tracks. One exciting thought I had is that we could somehow use he Pepsi center parking lot instead of the elitches and develop the current Elitch parking lot. I think I will bring that up to them. We will see. Exciting times for us. As an update to slidezilla I was there helping with the build on Saturday and it still had a ways to go. There is a possibility of ride testing this week though. We are working as fast as possible. I will probably participate in the testing and let you all know how it goes. I don't have a gopro so probably no video. Lol

For those following slidezilla is pushed way past June 2nd. The ride manufacture is the one installing and they are moving slow. Dont have an eta at this time.

Yeah, when are you guys going to add a new coaster? The talk is 2017. Mega coaster with station where the Volare was behind Elitch arena. Any truth to the rumor about it replacing the VIP lot too? I was hoping that "major thrill ride" to go there would be next year. That would be the perfect spot for a Chance Hyper GT-X since the park could really use some good airtime. Another park of ours needed a ride addition and slidezilla has some similar aspects so corporate decided to send edge away. Darien Lake's 2016 project? The talk was to send it down the eastern access road south and turn back by the bone yard. As far as edge goes I don't know where it went.

Yeah the rain and snow isn't too much of an issue, but it seems we lose several hours a day with lightening closures.

Original plan was to have Slidezilla open by Memorial Day, however due to the weather issues lately it may pushed back until about June 2nd. We are still shooting for this weekend, but it may be a pipe dream.
