  1. From what I heard looping is likely to be removed because there have been issues with the restraints, I guess for most of the season a team lead or supervisor had to be at the ride at all times due to this issue
  2. Except the folks hustling in to 'book' Verruckt rides the minute the park opens. Or the Travel Channel--who dedicated more airtime to a single Schlitterbahn attraction than they've ever spent on WoF or VF combined. Yup! Guess you've got your finger on the pulse of What 'Meerka Thinks. But if we lower our sights to mere amusement rides wellll there's still nothing at either WoF or VF as intense as kicking a Sky Fly into a blistering 20-30 loop tailspin. Nothing even REMOTELY close. Which Minnesotans can do with a foot of snow on the ground. Provided, of course, that you've learned how it's done. *mic drop* I have been to schlitterbahn kc three times and been disappointed each time for different reasons, all the times I went the "new" attractions for the year were not open yet and I went in august both times
  3. Mad Mouse also can't operate in cold temperatures, I know last year there was several haunt weekends it was not open so that also could be why they decided to do it now.
  4. The reason you can't switch is rides is even more short staffed then haunt
  5. I just hope dinoslaughter doesn't come back
  6. It will be used for haunt just not as a haunt
  7. All the fish in that pond are gone this year not sure what happened to them
  8. They have a concrete path poured from the building over to right next to wheel of fortune along with an area for a sign on that side of the building so I imagine that's how it's going to enter
  9. Flyers for next year makes sense from a cost/company perspective almost all the other parks have added them in the past few years
  10. That's awesome! Where did you hear this? Is it confirmed? Maybe he is here to help announce our new 2016 attraction and beyond! They told us last week that some of the higher ups in the company where coming for an audit and then they told the supervisors yesterday that he was one of the people coming. It's basically just to see how the park is doing and take a look at the recent expansions
  11. The CEO Matt Ouimet is supposed to be in the park either Monday or Tuesday so keep an eye out for him
  12. from what I hear its moving to london terrors old location
  13. if you look at the plans the new staff parking lot would be for full time employees like managers and maintenance right now they have very few spots for them. the regular employees would still be parking in the old lot
  14. its tire driven so when the track is wet the tire slips and it stops itself
  15. Due to the new IROC procedures it almost does not make sense to run all three trains because you can't dispatch fast enough so trains will be stacking
  16. The arcade will still be used for haunt just not as a haunt
  17. They are paying more, last year starting for ride ops was 8.25 this year it's 10.25 but everywhere else is hiring
  18. the main issue with staffing is they can't get the people since everywhere is currently hiring. Las year in August they did have days they closed just the lazy river I remember them saying they have a list of attractions they will close first based on staffing/popularity ratio and stuff
  19. They are not open due to staffing try would rather have the new slides and wave pool open
  20. The main thing is this project is a large investment that won't have a big impact right away, next season the road will probably just be expanded for the employee parking lot. Yes Valleyfair owns all of the land but they can't use it because it is designated wetlands they have to file a permit and to use it they basically have to pay double for wetland credits. This is just the first step in a much larger investment
  21. Hydroblasted was destroyed they did not keep any of the pieces so I doubt it will come back
  22. Ripcord is not going anywhere for a long time. so far it has not been open due to staffing but last year it made a lot of money because of the redoes to the area and bringing more people over to that area.
  23. The two big ones might not be open they have to finish commissioning them
  24. My guess for 2016 is larson flyers, it would be a simple addition that could fit in a small footprint
  25. Most likely expansion to the forms parking lot so they can use it as an employee lot, the regular employee lot floods every year
