I'm literally appalled by the fact you automatically jump to the "party" atmosphere because it was a LGBT event. I can say that I'm a proud member of that community and as a resident dj in boystown I can say just because you're a nightlife person doesn't mean you're like to party. It's funny how people think everyone that's gay automatically does drugs. I work at one of the most popular clubs in the country and you don't see that there. I really don't know what else to say. As long as you're there by opening you should be ok as most people head straight to Joker leaving the rest of the rides open. We hit up Joker and then went to Goliath and the park was empty back there and the line was at the bottom of the stairs to the station. At this point it was already a hour after opening. If you do get the flash pass just get the gold one then and take as much time as you can. A lot of people hate this park because of lines and operations but I can honestly say every time I've been there this season it has not been busy at all or everyone has been in the water park. Only restriction currently I can think of is you are only allowed 2 rides per day on Joker. Joker is only available on platinum as well. I'd wait to see if you need the flash pass though. I went yesterday arriving at 10:45 and had ridden all major coasters by 3PM. The park was empty which is surprising because yesterday was a beautiful although hot day. Only lines were 15 mins for Joker and Goliath. The water park seemed to be empty too. I saw on a couple slide complexes with very short lines. Most were walk straight to the top of complex. Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Katy Enrique has already said our construction will not start until the park is closed in November. Only things that may be done is the complete removal of ERC & Jesters but they can't do anything until the park is completely closed because of the location the ride is going. Six Flags owned the land on the other side of the tollway. They had purchased it in the early 90's I believe. There intention was to have our park be a destination park kind of like Universal Studios in Florida. Unfortunately in the end they couldn't get approval from the state to build a bridge over the tollway to connect the parks and in the end they gave up fighting it. Here's an Tribune article that announces the plans in November of 1997. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1997-11-08/news/9711080010_1_six-flags-great-america-theme-park-water-park When the company went through bankruptcy in 2009, after the economy tanked, they sold off all their extra property they had, so we lost any chance of an expansion then. As for the height limit, it has nothing to do with them not challenging it but rather the close proximity to Waukegan Airport. That's why the height limit is in place and not because they just have never challenged it. I'm pretty sure that can't be changed because of the airport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
