  1. I'm about to drive the agonizing 30 minutes and check out Falcon's Fury. Hopefully it rules!
  2. I got this in the mail the other day! I'm going to try to go one of the days before work.
  3. ^ TBBC is a pretty good place. I love their Iron Rat imperial stout and their Moose Killer barley wine. And speaking of barley wine I picked up a 4 pack of Weyerbacher's Blithering Idiot. It's pretty boozey tasting and smelling considering it's 11%. A little too sweet. I don't know if something happened to my batch that I was drinking but it's was incredibly carbonated. Did not like that. Checked out a local brewery by me last night called Three Palms Brewing. Had a 10% imperial stout aged on cocoa nibs. And it was on nitro which makes me happy. It was dangerous because I didn't taste alcohol at all. And a couple of wit beers which were okay.
  4. Puppy's Breath porter from Cigar City. Tampa/St. Pete has really upped the brewery game. I'm lucky.
  5. I definitely have to give it a try in the front next time I'm up there. It deserves another chance. I think I sat in the 4th row and just kind of wanted to get it over with at that point which is why we didn't go for the front. After the ride my friend asked me how I liked it and I couldn't even form an articulate enough sentence to explain why I was so angry with it. I just was. Which bummed me out because I was so siked to finally ride it and watching it launch next to you while you're in line only makes it even better. Luckily my dad and a good bit of friends live about 30 minutes from the park so at least I have an excuse to go more often though. So maybe next year! I was! I didn't know that was going on until I got there though. Went there after being in Chicago a few days and hitting up SFGA. Oddly enough the person I was with there ALSO didn't like coasters. He kept backing out and I ended up riding a lot of them by myself. I need new friends.
  6. Story time! So, the last time I was here Nitro had just opened so I was pretty stoked to be going again. I went on the 8th and 9th and my friends and I got there kind of later on in the afternoon on that Sunday. My main objective of the day was to get on Kingda Ka. Annnnnnd it wasn't running. It was packed so I didn't plan on riding much anyway, plus one person I was with had to do the safari as a compromise since she doesn't like coasters. (spoiler alert, it took FOR-EV-ER) They're season pass holders, I was flying home in a few days. Kinda bummed. I think by the time we got done with the safari we had maybe 2 hours until the park closed. Got a quick ride on Bizarro and we headed over to El Toro. I think around this time Kingda Ka was running now. I forwent El Toro to go stand in line for Kingda Ka since I knew it wouldn't be open on Monday. Also, I was at Cedar Point 2 days before and TTD was closed both days I was there. So I was even more determined. I think we were in line for an hour and a half or close to 2 hours. I don't know if it was from being in line for that long in the heat and the years of built up excitement, but I was really disappointed. I don't know what I was hoping for. It's intense, a little rough, and that's it. Oh, and it made my ears pop. The view was cool though. Monday was way different. It was either threatening to rain or raining off and on all day. It was so empty. Nitro was a walk on every time we rode it. My non-coaster riding friend timed me and another person on El toro. 19 minutes from the time we walked into the queue until we were back to where she was sitting. Even shorter towards the end of the day. Oh, and back row of El Toro Rode everything except Superman. Not too broken up about that though. I did the one at SFGA earlier in the week. When it was actually raining we'd all go grab beers and wait it out. I think the alcohol lines were the longest ones I waited in all day. And I was able to get in for free on Sunday and for like 10 bucks on Monday. Pass members have some pretty sweet perks. It was a really rad day. tl;dr Kingda Ka made me angry. El Toro rules. Beer is delicious.
  7. Hey everyone! My name is Colleen. I'm 28 and I live in Tampa, Florida. I love hockey, baseball, craft beer, and coasters. I joined years ago, but kind of forgot about it. So here I am again. My closest park is Busch Gardens Tampa which is about 20 minutes from my house. Orlando is around an hour or so, so that rules too. A few months ago a friend and I started talking about always wanting to go to Cedar Point. So I started planning a little vacation up to Ohio. She unfortunately wouldn't be able to swing it, but I already got the idea in my head. My trip to Ohio ended up turning into an 11 day, hopefully 5 park jaunt to SFGam, Cedar Point, King's Island, SFGadv, and Hershey Park if I have the time. This is getting long. Anyway, If anyone sees me between the dates of June 2 - June 11th at any of those parks SAY HI! I'm the nice girl with the glasses and sleeve tattoo! I like new people.
