  1. Bell's has announced that they are raising the money now for Zingo and phantasmagoria and the log ride. They have the mini golf course ready to be put together and they are putting up the tilt- a whirl and scrambler now. This is really awesome! Bell says he has plans to make Bell's a full fledge amusement park and water park! Along with a building to run year round with rides in it. They have lots of room for expansion. Here is their new location in yello and where they can expand in red.
  2. They should still be running. The rides don't normally close down except for American plunge, lost river, and river blast. If you check out the SDC app they have a tempeture guide on there. Most rides will close once it gets 35 or 37°. Outlaw run, will close at 37°.
  3. I love Viper at Darien Lake, but everyone seems to hate it. It may hurt but still its a great ride and has some thrill. Same with predator at Darien lake.
  4. I agree about rip ride rocket. I totally forgot it was even built for awhile. And the other day I was looking at a map of cedar point and I saw Maverick. I totally forgot about it! That ride is awesome and it was one of the first ones I stayed up to date with while it was being built. And I just now remembered it.
  5. My grandparents have season passes to SDC and they get them every year. They don't go for the rides or attractions, except maybe the railroad. They go watch the glass blowers and walk around the different shops. It still brings them every year. SDC can't give up this homey feel otherwise they will lose a lot of business. The different shops and blacksmith guys is part of the reason SDC is what it is.
  6. I was there the whole week of kingdom bound and I asked some of the workers there if they knew anything. Most of them blew it off, but one did tell it was going to be a add on to predator instead of a completely new one. I also help tear down the stage and stuff for the "worship experience" in the galaxy theater and I was around the whole thing and I'm not sure there would be enough room to put a whole new coaster there, even if they did take down the galaxy. Right through the back door is the storage area.
  7. Yeah they were fine. They even already had a shin guard! And they were comfortable! I'm sure you should be fine. Hopefully.
  8. Why? Seriously. Do we really need to change the restraints... What's the point. It was perfectly safe. Now all they have done was take away the ride from people.
  9. WOW! Thank you! Finally someone agrees with me! We don't need to change our safety restraints or ad more. That takes away some of the fun. Roller coasters are fun, but they can be dangerous. If you're that freaked out that they need to put 10 seatbelts on every ride, then just don't ride it. It's very sad what happened, but that doesn't mean that every ride now is going to have riders fall out of it. It's a freak accident, it happens every once in awhile. It's sad, but it needs to be let go.
  10. People would walk to it. At SFStlouis the Boss has a huge que line and most of it is uphill. If its a big ride people will ride it no matter where it is. And surely they can find somewhere else to do fireworks! Maybe. It would be sad if the main reason they torn down predator was because they couldn't move the firework show.
  11. Sorry for posting the picture twice. That was my bad.
  12. Space for lake monster Space for lake monster They don't necessarily have to take down predator. As you can see there are two islands on the lake and one of them is definitely big enough for a station. They could have the whole coaster over the lake. As long as they make concrete or steel supports under the water so it doesn't rot. But they could use that island or put it across from Ros and past predator at the end of that walkway. There is a lot of room here if they just use it right.
  13. I've been thinking about this since my last visit to SDC, and I agree that it will be put where the toboggans were. They could put a huge invertigo coaster there like aftershock. Or maybe like possessed. Just put something kinda small. I hope it would be another coaster. They have enough flat rides.
  14. Mind eraser took so long to wit in line for. This is the downfall of Darien lake. The coasters are constantly down for maintenance and you have to walk by and check to see if its open a lot. I'll be very disappointed if predator goes away, but it would be cool to see the coaster go on the lake!
  15. I don't think they need seatbelts on it. If you have been on outlawrun then you know the restraints are heavy and stiff. they are hard to push up. They won't come up on their own even if it does come undone. Quite honestly if someone can fall out of a locked restraint. Them adding seatbelts won't do much.
