An impulse coaster would be pretty tame if it the vertical towers only reached 100 feet. Unless it's slanted like V2, but why would they even bother adding something similar. I guess the impulse it out of the picture, thank God. The RMC Raptor might be a good fit for the space considering it's compact and supposed to have less footers than a typical coaster. It could easily go over foot paths. But it looks low capacity. I'm hoping for an Intamin launched mega-lite.

Hopefully the conversion will make it smoother. But im not opposed to getting rid of it either lol. Gold Striker was a great addition but we need a new steel coaster ASAP. If the rezoning passes, I hope they build a hyper. A giga would be better but considering their track record, that probably wont happen.

I think the Vortex conversion will include virtual reality. Ouimet did mention using new technologies considering CGA IS in Silicon Valley. Although a floorless conversion will make the ride more comfortable (hopefully), I don't think it will add a whole new level of thrill to an already outdated ride. Plus CGA can totally market it as the first VR coaster of NorCal.

Wishful thinking, but I hope we get a new coaster for the 2016 season. It would be perfect because it would be a couple years after Gold Striker and the Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium is that year. But if not new... After hearing that Cedar Point is turning Mantis into a floorless coaster, I would actually be satisfied if they did the same to Vortex. The current standing trains are such a headbanger.

Hello all! Jar here. I've been a visitor to this forum for quite a while now and finally decided to join the conversation. As much as I am excited for the GP to experience Gold Striker (which is my favorite coaster at the park now), I am also excited for the future of this park. I can't help but imagine what coaster we will receive next. My guess is probably as good as anyone else's. But I think with the closure of the KidZville River Adventure, I have a feeling the next addition will utilize the Invertigo, Tidal Wave, and River Adventure area. I definitely think the park has room for more rides. There's the space near the lake and the under-utilized pavilion or they can just get rid of Grizzly . Also about the height limit, we have Drop Tower which is a little over 200 feet, so we can't count a hypercoaster out. Didn't we almost get one anyways during the Paramount days?
