Does anyone know more as to what Cal/OSHA's problem with the ride actually was? I know people have posted something about a ladder not being in code...
And shouldn't Mondial take some responsibility for this whole fiasco? Correct me if I'm wrong, but when they manufacture a ride, shouldn't said ride be in code for the place to where it's being delivered / assembled? I can't help but wonder if this will amount to some sort of lawsuit against the company.
I posted about it pages back. IIRC The employee said when Osha was looking at the new evac system they signed off on it...But they didn't like a ladder inside the tower...Why they didn't say that the first time they closed it I don't know.
This is just what an employee told me when it first happened. Screamscape reported a different reason. But it looks like the employee may have been right.

^I don't think that's they are going to remove windweeker, they have been working on it as far as I know.

I wonder if this will turn out like the SFMM thread, with 3 pages of discussion about how KBF should have bought 3rd train for Xcelerator?
Or, like the SFMM thread with dozens of pages talking about their restrooms
But yea, hopefully Xcelerator will be back up and running, even if it's running 1 train.
Knotts did buy a 3rd train for Xcel its the red train lol.

Nyteowl, my sups know I am a TPR member and make me work all the events lol, I was working the WCB lunch last year.

Knott's itself is fairly small but the property as a whole is fairly large
^There is also Knotts property on the other side of western.

^I saw you guys too I was the sweeper in the log ride area. I would have said hey but my sups were just standing in the area lol.

Just got home from the park, as of 230 the log ride wasn't open yet but they are trying there hardest to get it open sometime today.

What puzzles me is how someone gets to the point of doing something dumb like this. How could this person say to themselves, putting a dry ice bomb around children at my work sounds like a good idea, nothing bad came come from doing this.
Some people just don't think, I just think he wanted to get out of work...

Just got back from a long day at the Farm. The KTLA shoot in the morning was a blast, and I had a really good time. Spent the rest of the day at the park hanging out with friends and doing other rides. Funny thing happened on Xcelerator around 5:30 P.M.. We had just gotten in line and a huge swarm of bees flew over the track after the tophat. Many people were exiting the line out of fear but we stayed in for a bit. The Train got sent and we watched in horror as the train flew directly through the massive bee swarm at high speeds. Luckily, only one ride op ended up getting stung and they closed down the ride until further notice. We exited the line and saw a huge bee pile on top of the track and the mechanics were looking on in aw. After about 30 minutes, they decided to just send the train empty a few times to clear up the bees. It was a pretty gruesome display to say the least .^the same thing happened on Ghostrider last month just outside the station.

I don't think the log ride will be open this weekend, but I did see that they had the crew training today

They opened all three rides today.

So at about 2:30pm Coastrider did its first test run, sorry no pics I was working.

I think they were doing a train swap on Boomerang, it was open today with a freashly painted train.

Vertical construction has begun on Coast Rider. No pictures but some of the taller supports have been put up as of this afternoon. No track in place yet.
They had one seaction of track up as of this morning.

KTLA 5 was saying they have been up there since 4pm... so over 2 1/2 hours

There are Boysenberries that came from the original vines at the park still that you can see if you only know were to look lol.

Anybody see the latest update of the park on site banned? Wonder if its just beautification/infrastructure improvements or if its preporations for something else.
If you call repaving and adding planters, getting ready for a new ride... People do sit on planters guess that make them a new ride.

Alot of stuff has been done this past week, As said before park services had to take out every other trash can in the park.

They are doing a lot of painting and repar work on things all over the park..

Raffi left the knotts in 06. If you go to the park now you can see a lot of changes alraedy happaning.
