Went to the park Friday the 18th for HiP. Temperature was mid 40s and dropped to the upper 30s with moderate crowds. Batman wasn't any different as it is in hot weather, over 6 spins. Seems like it spins more on the left side in the seat facing toward Poltergeist as you go up the lift. Wait was 15-20 minutes. IRat valleyed again during testing on the hill before the drop into the tunnel and never opened.

I wanted to ask about the park's offer for the "bring a friend free" for all 2013/2014 season pass holders. Since the park closed due to weather the previous weekend, the extended it to 12/1. I have a gold pass and took my brother-in-law. Got to guest relations and they told me "That was only for certain people" and turned me away. Who was it for? I assumed it was for everyone with a pass since the park posted that on Facebook.

Iron rattler valleyed on a test run just before the airtime hill before the tunnel. Temperature at opening was about 40 degrees. While trying to take another picture from inside the park, the employee at the slingshot yelled "sir, no picture of construction please!" I've never heard of anything rule like that. Setting up to pull the train over. Sorry for the low quality picture. Here is the stuck train.

The entry line for Gold pass is the furthest right entry gates next to guest relations. There are signs pointing you to it. 15 minutes early No. All rides open with the park. It gives you time to walk to the ride and get in line till it opens. You get to ride a few times till everyone else catches up.

The test seat that has the green light looks to be deceiving to some. I passed it a few times since iRat opened up the 1st time with it and have seen lots of people with little kids that wouldn't meet the height requirement have their kid sit in the seat and the light come on and the parents go "yeah your ok to ride" and then get in line

Interesting info and history. Thanks. Never knew there was anything different between the '92 and '93 Rattler. Is the brown building between Roadrunner and IRat entrance used for IR maintenance? It's got doors on it as if it would've previously been a barn. What happened to Coyote on the Roadrunner express? His statue has been gone for a few seasons as well as the rock after the 2nd lift and the Coyote on the ACME rocket. Or am I the only one that's noticed he disappeared?

A friend of mine who was a ride op for Fiesta Texas back in 92 on Gully Washer told me a few things about when it first opened. Has anyone ever heard this before? I barely remember going during opening year as I was only 7yrs old. The park was also supposed to occupy where La Cantera mall currently is and have elevators up the cliff and also the current parking lot. The parking lot was supposed to be across I-10 where the RIM currently is. Was the walking path different in Crackaxle canyon where it turns left by the train station? Did Rattler really have problems with overheating wheel bearings on first test runs and get clocked at almost 90mph? Didn't know that security used to ride horses around the park and the barn is the building Roadrunner express is in. Supposedly, Superman was supposed to be built at Astroworld and then due to attendance problems, designs were changed and it was built at FT.
