  1. Thank you guys for your suggestions! I'll take a look at those hotels. I wanted to stay at Paradise Pier on our honeymoon but we decided to save the extra cash for other Disney splurges. Maybe one day I'll save up for a super trip and go all out.
  2. Hey guys! Planning a vacation back home to good ol' SoCal this November and wanted your thoughts as to when the best time to visit the most magical place on earth! I'm thinking the week of November - 7th - 9th actually - would be a good couple of days. Right after Halloween but not so close to schools being out for Thanksgiving. Thoughts? Even though I grew up rather close to Disney I didn't actually get to visit the park often (at all). So I don't really know the "sweet spots" of when to visit. Of course, soon as I move away, my family then decides to get season passes Also if you have any strategic plans of action as to where to stay for a night or two? We used GetAwayToday for our honeymoon a few years ago, which included park hopper tickets, and that was neat - but I'm all for saving some money where I can. Thanks all! Carry on.
  3. Saw what happened on Twitter and then I saw that the park immediately made their Twitter private. Terrible what happened... and unbelievably scary!
  4. I went. The line to get in was absolutely ridiculous- I don't know if they had issues with the scanners or maybe didn't actually let anyone into the "holding" area until 2pm- but the line was all the way around to the bobsled. Of course, I wait in line- 20 minutes later we're at the "gates" where there is a space between the ticket booths and the actual line where cutters just walk right in and "funnel". But- that's six flags, right? Ive rarely ever see it at Disney, Universal, or Sea World. But six flags... all the time. Rant over. The crowds weren't bad at all, really- but I was with my 2 and 6 year old all by myself- so our rides never have waits anyway. But based on the food lines- it wasn't bad in the slightest. Snow Hill was the only wait- maybe 10-15 mins? We left around 6- so I didn't see the lights- I'll do that later this week when I have my wife with me and I'm not outnumbered. I didn't get to do Holiday in the Park last year because the crowds were unbearable. Literally walked in, processed my pass, and left because it was insane! I'm hoping today won't be crowded. Planning on being there right when they open so I can get a few rides in and finally ride Justice League! haha
  5. Anyone check out Holiday in the Park opening? Any predictions of how crowded it might be today? Thinking I might head over to the park this afternoon.
  6. It's a shame the actors aren't fully involved (if that's the right term). I've been meaning to hit up Fright Fest since I have never been... Any progress on the new flats? I'm assuming no, but this thread needs more activity!
  7. Gosh, look at that fresh red paint! Takes me back to when it first opened and I was way too chicken to ride it. Boy I miss this park. I can't wait to see updates on Ghostrider and see what you guys say about the refurb!
  8. ^^^ Oh I had that same idea too... but I like my dream a little bit better
  9. I guess part of me was hoping they would use that area for a coaster - but it makes sense. Since their post showing the eye-sore of a stadium, I'm wondering if they're hinting that something new will be put there for 2017.
  10. I always thought batwing was in an awkward place. Is it possible they might remove some of the games near batman to make way for a flat? I never see anyone actually playing the games over there... at least whenever I was actually paying attention. LOL. I always thought they had too many game stations in the park anyway.
  11. Hooray for flat rides! I'm excited for this! While it's not a full on coaster, I do think the park is taking steps in the right direction. Where do you guys think these rides will be placed? Near Skyscreamer?
  12. I'm thinking it does have something to do with "joker". All the teasers so far say "It's all fun and games until..." so it fits. Maybe they are rebranding Pandemonium? lol
