  1. Here's a link to the timelapse video of the install, lots of fun!
  2. We finished installing the SkyCoaster Sunday and we were very fortunate that it never rained, everything went smoothly. The SkyCoaster is up and the safety lights are on. There is some painting left to do, but not that much. The lighting is also installed, it will have a very intense green glow at night when those are connected. I've included a few shots from areas that the public can't access. We think this really changes the landscape of north I-Drive. In about a week, the GCI coaster will begin a rapid installation process. Many completed bents are on the ground waiting to go up. The last two main supports for the figure 8 of the Freedom Flyer will also be installed soon. Soon the groundwork will be completed and the pavers will begin to be installed. Things are moving fast. 3. Maybe you aren't aware that Fun Spot now also has 10 acres across the road on the top of the page.
  4. The one with the water park is an old image. This one is more accurate as to what will open in June, except the Yo-Yo is out and the Paratrooper will probably move to that spot. The Screaming Swing is on hold. The Enterprise is going to be installed, but its exact date of completion is not known (maybe by the grand re-opening). It requires a substantial pit with engineered footers. The water park is a possible use of some of the undeveloped land, but the purchase of a second 10 acres has influenced our future plans. 5. Yes, the design is a clone of Kvasten. Vekoma design, Chance manufactured structure with Vekoma trains. The two large posts supporting the figure 8 are not in yet, but soon. Freedom Flyer layout
  6. More Freedom Flyer is up today. The structure was built by Chance Rides in Wichita, Kansas. Trains are from Vekoma. The 250' SkyCoaster is scheduled to be raised this Saturday. Freedom Flyer
  7. The Chance/Vekoma "Freedom Flyer" is going up fast. The 250' tall SkyCoaster is tentatively scheduled to be raised in about a week or so. Should go up in about a day. Freedom Flyer 2/15/13
  8. Just to be clear, the Chance Double Decker Carousel is all brand new except for the horses which came from Legoland Fla.
  9. Just to add a couple of things. The actual name of the Chance/Vekoma coaster is "Freedom Flyer". There was typo on that somewhere before. The coaster is the identical layout to Kvasten at Grona Lund in Stockholm. The restraints are the same as the ones in this photo, no over the shoulder horse-collar. So, hanging - no banging. This coaster will be super smooth, like Steel Lasso in Oklahoma City. If you've ridden that one, you know what I mean. Only this one is taller and longer.
  10. Aerials from Jan. 16th and a pano from the 22nd. The parking lot now has one lift of asphalt and the entry building roof is on. The Chance/Vekoma steel coaster started arriving today and assembly of the SkyCoaster is well underway. The SkyCoaster will be painted white and then the 7 sections will be erected in one day using 3 cranes. Aerial 1-16-13 Aerial 1-16-13 Panorama 1-22-13 Freedom Flyer Freedom Flyer
  11. Here are the most recent renderings of phase one of the new expansion. The 50 foot deep footers for the SkyCoaster are in and it is now expected to be up by mid January. The photo shows the new entry building being blocked up, the pond is dug, and the footers for the SkyCoaster/restaurant building are in the foreground. Latest park rendering. New entry. SkyCoaster area.
