  1. The problem with this line of thought, IMHO, is that you would then be advocating a safety net..followed by a 2nd safety net for the safety net..etc. How about if there is a 5ft barrier and then a 10 foot safety net and a crazy/stupid parent THROWS the child over the net? Are you then going to say that they should have had a 30 foot safety net? You can ALWAYS find a way around ANY safety precaution. In the courts you have to prove willful neglect..The zoo has 2-3 safety precautions in place.. the mother places her child OVER/ON TOP of a safety wall and then DROPS the child. How in the WORLD can you say the zoo is even PARTIALLY at fault..The point of a safety barrier is to provide an extra layer of precaution..not to cure stupidity Last I saw they don't even know if the child died from the mother dropping him or from the animals. This is truly mind boggling.. It's called the common sense rule. If you are standing in the middle of a road and get hit by a car, do you then say that the car should have a safety measure to gently move you out of the way prior to impact? It's not like the lap restraint failed..the mother failed her child.
  2. what a great review thanks for showing this to those of us that can't make it to the actual event!
  3. so glad you posted these pics and captions. I've never been on a cruise before and unlike the Klassy Kruise this makes me want to take one!!! I am more of a "regular food" kind of guy and some of those items on the menu make me dizzy. cool to see they always offer normal meat as well great info and wonderful pics. so glad your family had a great time!
  4. Especially with kids. I mean if you're a family of 5 it's highly likely that people are going to get thirsty at different times. Always having to go to deck 11 would be a major disruption depending on where you are on the ship. I bet you they make a decent amount of money (since its only .02 syrup with water) just based off of parents who are like "alright just get a soda I don't want to goto deck 11". If you have people in your party that drink a lot I could see you having to prioritize your deck 11 schedule or it could get expensive over time. Thanks for the pics..I always enjoy the report threads!
  5. waiting for R.I.P. tickets to be announced. I love this time of year when the rumors start to really fly about the event.
  6. Thanks! A lot of videos in that link have Burt the Conqueror. I wonder if he will be hosting Insane Coaster Wars and whatever happened to his Bert the Conqueror show? Was it cancelled? I never got to see the CA episodes. July is a horrible time to premiere a new show by the way, I guess Travel Channel doesn't have much faith in this show. Hopefully they will repeat it a lot in the fall. Bert the Conqueror was moved during its last season in favor of the US version of Scream! If You Know the Answer, which was also hosted by Bert Kreisher. It was not picked up for a third season.
  7. Busch Gardens puts on a great event. This is not a bad deal considering everything you are getting. Front of the line passes for Howl-O-Scream cant be overlooked either especially for a Saturday night. It sounds expensive but if you break down everything that is included for a full day event, it's really not that outlandish. Enjoy!
  8. I usually am able to attend both each year due to my work travel sched. There is no question in my mind, and other people who have joined me in the past, that the Orlando park is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY beyond that of the USH HHN. Don't forget also that the budget for the Orlando park is MANY TIMES greater than the USH park. Murdy (the guy who runs the HHN at USH) is always complaining about the budget and how much better it could be if he had the funds to work with. I hope this is OK to post since it's purely a HHN based forum, but if you goto the horror nights nightmares forum you can read up on the event from both parks and they have some die-hard followers. (I have no stake in the website) They really go all out in the Orlando park and it's a must see event if you're a HHN fan. You will not be disappointed. The reason why USH HHN reuses a lot of their mazes year to year (usually) is because they simply don't have the budget and/or help to create new themes each year. I believe Murdy said in the past that the Orlando park has 40+ additional creative staff compared to that of the park in Cali. Enjoy!
