Question for Gold membership/pass holders: I just upgraded from a regular membership to the Gold membership that comes with season parking, how exactly does that work, will I be able to just use my membership card whenever I roll up to the parking gates? also, will I have to pay for parking the first time I go back to SFMM to get my Gold membership processed/new card? (I figure I will, but I'd rather know now to avoid an awkward moment with the parking gate attendant )

I went on Monday, mainly just to ride TC. It was pretty fun, definitely plenty of ejector airtime. Got a duel on the first half, second half we were on that lift hill for a cool minute and the other train didn't even show up so no dueling on the second half, nonetheless pretty fun ride. I did use the Single Rider Line that day, I actually missed it the first time I walked to TC, since it is sort of hidden. When I did get in that line, I was there with maybe 20 people tops, didn't seem like it was getting abused that much, hell, the regular line seemed to be moving efficiently as well. I did witness a walk of shame moment, a lot of schools were there that day...short big kid couldn't get the lap bar to close properly, everyone else was waiting on him, he had to exit the ride, restrained jeering was heard.

Got another trip in yesterday with another group of friends. Monday was definitely better than Thursday as there were less people at the park. Yolocoaster is running 2 trains again, as someone else posted a few days after my Thursday trip. Wait time was about 40 minutes, way better than Thursday's 1 hour 20 minutes/1 train operation. Lex Luthor was a 15 minute wait. Colossus was a walk on, Scream would have been a walk-on if it were running 2 trains...since it wasn't, wait time was only 15 minutes. Skipped Batman, Green Lantern was a 40 minute wait. Riddler's Revenge was 45 minutes, 2 trains were running. Gold Rusher walk-on (duh). Jet Stream was 15 minutes. Apocalypse still closed. Then instead of going to Tatsu right away, went up the hill... Superman was 45 minutes, both sides were running. Ninja was a walk-on. Tatsu was about an hour. 2 trains were running. Viper was a walk-on. X2 was an hour. No audio or flames this time. Park closed at 6 pm...and I was complaining about the 8 pm closing time of Thursday

We had just gotten off of Green Lantern and the group I was with was ready for some water on their hot bodies...so first I said Tidal Wave only gets you wet (read: soaked) if you get on the bridge rather than actually riding it. The group decided they just wanted to be teased, but also ride something, so I suggested Jet Stream. Then we just kept going in that direction, passing the closed Apocalypse, going to Tatsu, and X2...by the time we finished X2 it was 8:10 pm, roller coaster riding was closed for the rest of the night. I miss the days when MM would close at 11 pm or 12 midnight.

I went to the park yesterday, here's how it went down: Started counterclockwise so we went to Yolocoaster first, I hadn't been on it yet. It was in fact running only 1 train, but surprisingly the 1 hour and 20 minute wait didn't feel all that long. The loop is cool, but my favorite part is actually from the tunnel reverse launch on towards the end. Definitely one I would re-ride a few times if the line were smaller. Goliath was a 20 minute wait, line was out only to about half of the stairs. 2 trains were running, efficient dispatching. Lex Luthor had a half-filled queue building, wait was around 40 minutes, normal dispatching. Colossus was a walk-on, Scream a 20 minute wait. Colossus was surprisingly rough yesterday...well, in comparison to how it felt back in April. Either way that coaster is always fun for me...hopefully I can make it back in October for the reverse trains. Scream was only running 1 train...so if it had 2, I'm sure that 20 minute wait would turn into a walk-on to 5 minute wait at the most. Scream is usually neglected by most (that parking lot coaster effect yo'). Batman was a 15 minute wait, Green Lantern closer to 40 minutes. Green Lantern actually didn't rough me up like it usually does, we still got one definite flip and a bunch of 3/4's of the way into a flip throughout the ride. Skipped Riddler's and Superman. Apocalypse was closed! which was lame since I really like that ride, its short and sweet like Batman. If I remember correctly, when I went back in April, that ride was a walk-on, and I think we re-rode it after coming back into the station since no one was in line for our seats. Tatsu was about an hour wait time. 2 trains were running, the dispatching was okay. I've seen them dispatch faster before, but I did notice a woman in her late 20's or early 30's wearing casual clothes and a name tage in the dispatching crew areas, jotting things down on a clipboard with each dispatch. She was jovial with the crew though, so I don't know if she was actually supervising the Ops or what. My group wanted to go straight to X2 despite Viper probably being a walk on (the last few times I've gone, this ride, just as Scream, is usually a walk-on or a 15 minute wait tops). X2 wait time was about the same as Yolocoaster, 1 hour and 20 or so minutes. Rode it somewhere in the middle, felt a bit rough as usual but of course, fun as always. No flames that day. The audio was back on, I know most people on here like that. Overall a pretty good day at Magic Mountain.

I was at the park today. Yolocoaster's loop looked like it hasn't changed since the last update posted here from a day or two ago. It does look pretty cool in person though, what's up of it so far anyway. Green Lantern & Gold Rusher were closed all day. Apocalypse, Viper, Revolution, Goliath, and Ninja were all walk-ons. Tatsu, Riddler's, Batman, Scream, LL:DOD, and Colossus had small waits, 20-25 minutes tops. I didn't get a ride in X2, that is usually the busiest ride but the crowds were small so I assume it wasn't as bad as usual for X2. Superman was only running one side, but it seemed like it broke down for a bit while we were in line, after 20 minutes we left for greener pastures. Park did close at 6 pm, I wish my friends didn't lollygag as much as they did or we'd have at least gotten on X2 as well. Excellent weather as well, overall a nice day at the park.

I went to the park yesterday. Most of the roller coasters were on 1-train operations, except for Colossus and Scream. I was with a big group of friends so I didn't get lost in the 'waiting' really. Despite no secondary train on most rides, lines were short. Well, way shorter than your typical Summer/Fall lines. Tatsu broke down in line but was up and running in 10 minutes, and was overall a 40 minute wait. LL:DOD was also a 40 minute wait. Everything else, except X2 and LL:DOD, were 30 minutes or less (plus a few walk-on rides on Revolution and Viper). X2, which we rode last near closing time, was a 1 hr+ wait since they were only running 1 train. Also, me and my friend got on the Slingshot. We split it since we used my season pass to get the better deal. We were eyeing it before heading to Apocalypse, we didn't see a single person get on it...even though you regularly see plenty of people getting on the dive devil (which is also an up-charge and costs more). Not having Deja-Vu there to lure people into that corner might see it not last very long (which is what most of you have been saying I think). After they secured us back into the magnetic lock, the supervisor (who seemed to be training the younger ops) asked us if we wanted a free ride, of course we said yes. Overall a fun day at SFMM.

I was at the park yesterday. Lines were surprisingly not that bad for the summer. Even rides that had somewhat long lines, were moved at a good pace. Viper felt smoother than the last time that I rode it back in October. Did Viper's trains really get new wheels? As everyone else seems to be reporting, Apocalypse and Scream were basically walk-on's. Tatsu was running on one side with 2 trains. Superman was running both sides...AC was on in the 'Fortress'. Lex Luthor was using both sides. I have to say it was pretty fun, just when you think that its pretty high up...it keeps going. Same with the drop, total free fall. You think its about to slow down to stop...but it keeps going for another second or two that you don't expect. Fun. Riddler's Revenge, Batman, Goliath and Revolution were all running good as usual. X2 had audio, and flames. Overall it was a good day, mainly I was impressed with the pace the ride Ops were dispatching rides.

I'm really excited to get on LL:DoD, and this 'not reaching the top' thing doesn't bother me one bit. Think about this: The Giant Drop's tower at Dreamworld measures at 390 ft. With the top part base, you have to take off at least 10-15 ft. from its actual drop, making it more like a 375-380 ft. drop which simultaneously gives LL:DoD the advantage and record for tallest drop as it has approximately (using numbers from this thread) a 390-395 ft. drop...that should be all that matters. Either way, I can't wait to go next week and get on it. I haven't even been able to make it out to MM yet this year!

Not at all. Almost every report I've read from people who haven't gone in 4-5 years is full of high points talking about how much better the park is now compared to their last memory of it. You can easily tell when people haven't gone in 5+ years because they're the only ones who'd talk about SFMM's 'gangbanger problem' or how trashy the park is, or something like that. This.

I was at MM on Thursday, hoping summer crowds died down a bit. In comparison to July, it definitely did. Deja Vu was open and running and even though I knew about the speculation of it being moved, the line for it was a little longer than usual so I passed up on, having ridden in it many times on previous trips. I didn't even get on X2 this time, I kind of changed the routine this time around Anyway, Green Lantern did not stop on the MCBR like it had been doing a few weeks back, it was only slowing down and continuing right along. It was as fun as when I rode it in July. Am I the only one who wishes it had the drop after the lift that is available as an option on Intamin's website for the design versions of their zac-spin coaster? Superman was running both sides. Tatsu was still running only one side of the station. Apocalypse was surprisingly empty, no need for the two extra queue areas, they were even skipping watching the new video segments (which was not the case in July, when both queue areas were being used.) Colossus was fun, still feels a little smoother due to the work it had done in the Spring. Scream was a short wait, as usual. Goliath was running fine. It seems to me that every time I go there, the pizza branding changes? either way it was good. I'm glad Deja Vu will still be at MM in October, I plan on making a trip with a lot of friends then to ride Colossus with the reverse trains and get a final ride in Deja Vu.

The first time I went to Magic Mountain I had some chicken strips and french fries from some food place that was either near Goliath or passing the Log Jammer flume ride, I don't remember. The strips were kind of dry, and the fries were decent. Ever since then I've only eaten the pizza combo meal by GL:FF and Batman. If I'm with a big group we usually eat at the food court by Gold Rusher, most of us get pizza since we all agree it's actually quite good.
