Has anyone seen the land that was cleared near six flags dr and cope land near 360? I was told by a friend that is an Arlington resident that he learned that it was aquired by the park when he went to an Arlington city council meeting. He claims they also got approval to demolish the strip behind batman. But I'm not so sure

Any updates? Has any one seen any testing or anything?

They weren't there yesterday. Every time I got off the NTAG, there was a supervisor at the end of the exit ramp, pushing the ride pictures. Every time I encountered a new one, I would ask about the rumors of flames, etc, and they all basically confirmed that flames will be there eventually, it just took longer to get the permits, as the fire marshal was (understandably) a bit leery of putting fire next to a wooden coaster. On that note, apparently the oil derrick from (Bizarro I believe?) wouldn't fit at SFOT for some reason, so they had a new one custom made, and just pulled the flame units. Oh ok cool. Hopefully its soon. Im going on the 7th and that would be amazing to see. I noticed in the b-roll footage from face book they had a Fake flame coming out at the second overbank. I kinda chuckled.

So no Flames so far?

Cant wait till the commercial comes out. Its supposed to start airing April 18th. I want to see if I am seen in it. WIsh I could be there opening weekend even though I have rode it and i know the lines will be extremely long. But coming from someone who has been on multiple times, it is worth the wait!!! That airtime is AMAZING. But i will have to wait until May 7th Sigh

From my ride experience, I feel that is has earned the best ride in the park award in my book. Maybe it will soon have another golden ticket award hanging in the station. I think it deserves it. I really appreciate the first drop and the small hill before the MCBR. Oh and lets not forget the drop under the first drop!

THANK YOU!! I have been thinking the same thing from page 210-214. I never really noticed they were there until tues when the pics were posted on the facebook page. I personally dont think they probably look that bad when the ride is viewed as a whole. And there was some sort of attempt to blend them in seeing as how they were painted brown. Up until this week it was working, NO ONE NOTICED! Somebody takes a couple of close up photos and oh my the grits have hit the skillet. So i think we should just give it a rest cause at the end of the day I'm going to ride it and most likely love it steel support structure or not. P.S. Wasn't there a big debate over it being called hybrid or wooden??? Well I think this just seals the deal for all the hybrid fans out there..... I'm just saying

I just cannot stop chuckling at this post. Really?? The back row is only three from the front in the video. Haha. I should assume you mean with a full train it ought to be amazing. It almost like saying "the back on wildcat at Cedar Point is great! Way better than the front!". Sorry if I'm coming off like a jerk. I'm not trying to. I just got a kick out of that with the tiny little train. LMAO I almost pissed myself at work here. Hilarious! Especially the wildcat part lol.

Don't get me wrong, but I'm pretty sure employees most of time are left out the open to prevent leaks of information. I can't see a Dippin Dot's person at one theme park knowing about the corporate plans of another theme park 2-3 years ahead, even if it's run by the same people. Most of the time, they won't say anything to regular employees until something happens that requires them to do so, like construction. I will use Seaworld Parks and Entertainment for an instance, granted it's not six flags. The General Staff of Busch Gardens Tampa were left out in the air about Cheetah Hunt until about a month and a half in after construction started. Some employees knew because of the coaster communities and the leaked information, but management didn't tell any of them anything til after. Granted, this is Seaworld Parks and Entertainment, not Six Flags. Not only that, he gave you information about parks owned by ANOTHER company. I doubt you got creditable information there, obviously. Very true I worked for Cedar Point 06-07 in rides, the Maverick and Paramount takeover. We new that they were building something in 06 but didnt know what it was until like labor day. There were so many rumors i used to laugh at them. One of the funniest i heard was that it was going to have, get this brace yourself, a 500' loop. I laughed for about an hour to that. The only rumor someone got right is that it was going to pass under the station. We didnt find out what it was until Labor Day of 06'. Well i acutally found out a week earlier cause one of the Park Op managers gave me a promo DVD just because. We didnt find out about CF buying the Paramount parks until the day they did it and it was the front page of the Sandusky news paper. So I give props to all of my fellow Theme Park workers but i wouldnt rely on that source unless its a leak from corporate cause you never know what people will come up with.
