Yeah Yosemite is in the worst shape I've ever seen it in. Not only were the geysers not working, there wasn't even any water around them. I could audibly hear Daffy's mouth flapping in one of the scenes, and it was louder than his audio! Maybe the Sallie Corp. could give it some TLC after they wrap up Justice League? At least a man can dream eh? On a side note, I wonder how the long-term licensing deals work out for rides like Justice League. I remember Tony Hawk needing to be abruptly de-branded into Pandemonium when they cancelled the licensing agreement. I would think for a ride like this they'd have something way more permanent since losing the rights to the characters would essentially destroy the ride.

Visited the park today. Went extra early since it was "season pass appreciation" weekend and they claimed they'd be letting only season pass holders in an hour early to ride Titan and Texas Giant. Well, Titan was down and after entering the park not a soul was checking to see if anyone had season passes, so I'm pretty sure they were just letting everyone in to ride the Giant and the line definitely reflected that. I went to leave a complaint (and was handed a form to write my complaint down myself instead of just telling guest relations). Afterwards I was told everyone they let enter the park had season passes, which was just nonsense since I didn't see them holding anyone back at the front entrance. Pretty sure security usually checks at the gates in Mexico/Texas but that was not happening. Sigh... Other than that it was a super packed day. Got to Freeze right at opening for a walk-on and did a few more rides. Justice League is progressing nicely. Left around noon and overflow was rapidly filling up. Ironically Flash Pass had the longest line I'd ever seen. Freeze was running well. Was a bit worried after I heard about all the downtime it's been having. Front line madness. Finished the front part of the ride! Looks nice. Hopefully they'll finally repaint the big building part to get rid of the Right Stuff's last remnant. Queue line I presume? More front line madness. Turtles basking on a warm spring day. Batsignal!!!!!!!!!!

If this means it's a single line but you get to move to the next available entrance/metal detector, I'm all for it. It's way more efficient and fair than individual lines, especially when you get stuck in a line behind someone who has trouble with their pass processing or that doesn't understand how metal detectors work and that they need to remove all metal items prior to going through them. I got into an argument with employees a year back after waiting behind someone for 10 minutes due to them having endless ticket problems when they should have clearly just removed them from the line and handled it separately instead of holding up the entire line.

Whoa holy crap, they replaced Newman's Corn Dogs with that Go Fresh place? They replaced, by far, the best place to dine in the entire park with THAT? I knew they were adding Go Fresh but not to replace Newman's. I'm a little heartbroken to be honest. Where's the outrage here people? And yes I know there's still the Tower location, but the Texas location was virtually historic!

Went to the park Sunday to get some various video footage and the lines just to get in the park were insane. By far the worst I've ever seen. The gate lines filled the ENTIRE entry plaza and they even opened a supplemental entrance "gate" underneath bobsled, which I'd never seen before. I think people were taking advantage of the season pass offers for next year as they appeared to be a major slowdown. Not to mention once inside the park, the lines for season pass processing were just as crazy. They ran all the way across the front gate fountain area all the way to the Mercado gift shop. I had to cut through the line just to exit the park. I took video of the entry lines and I'll have to post it if I remember to...

It times the ride operators and "challenges" them to dispatch a train every so often (I forget the exact time, maybe like 90 seconds or something?) And then it also keeps another count of how many times they've done this in a row I believe. Unfortunately a lot of times it's the slow passengers that cause them to break their streak. Speaking of Holiday in the Park crowds, is it me or has this event gotten insanely busy these past several years? It used to be the most dead time of year for the park with nonexistent crowds and now it seems like it's just as busy as spring break at times (depending on the weather). Maybe it's the season pass deals they're always offering (buy next year's but get in the rest of this year for free)?

Excited about the ride and the mechanical systems behind it. Would have preferred a better/unique theme than yet another DC comics-based ride, but if that's what sells tickets I can understand their business intentions. Hopefully they invest toward maintaining this dark ride, unlike how they've let Yosemite Sam's go...

Got an email stating the park will make an announcement August 28th (Thursday two weeks from now). Guess all will be revealed then. As for Roaring Rapids having structural damage beyond repair, not sure what that could refer to. It's not that complicated of a ride and I doubt it costs that much to repair a concrete trough. Though the ride does take up a huge amount of space and it's nice to fantasize about what else could fit there...

So is this lawsuit also the investigation? Or do we officially have a person or group at fault for the accident? Victim's family has filed suit against a variety of people, including Six Flags and Gerstlauer (not sure if Rocky Mountain is also named). Meanwhile, Six Flags and Gerstlauer are pointing the finger at each other, but I haven't kept up with it to the point of knowing if they've actually filed any suits against each other. The latest is Gerstlauer saying they delivered a test seat to SFoT when the ride opened but the park didn't bring it out or use it until the incident. To be honest, I'm not sure that would have actually changed anything as the test seat wouldn't have been mandatory nor does it really tell you anything the actual train's seat doesn't.

When I rode Green Lantern at SFMM, there was an unfavorable spin during the ride's final vertical section of track (which is also its brake run) that put me facing the ground during the rapid deceleration, and let's just say it was extremely painful on the nether regions. If the feeling I got counts as anecdotal evidence, It's feasible that someone could be ejected in the manner you describe were the seatbelt not buckled and restraint not down far enough.

Just got back from the park. Two ride ops were stationed at the seat but said nothing to me or my girlfriend about needing to test it out, so we blew right by it. Had about a 10 minute wait and got on. Operations weren't as bad as people had been saying they were, maybe we were lucky? Freeze was also a walk-on around 1. Batman's line, however, was all the way to the first tunnel. I think they were only running one train.
