I'm not sure how, but I got on the mailing list for Six Flags. They asked me to do a ride naming survery, and this is what the e-mail read. I was supposed to "Imagine that Six Flags Magic Mountain was opening a new area in 2012, and there will be 7 new rides. But you have a flight to get to later, and you can't ride them all. And you know all the names!" or something along the lines of that (and mind you, they said at the end of the survey that they aren't opening a new land, it might be a coaster, waterslide, or show). The survey asked general things about what names sounded "most terrifying," "most family-friendly," "most like it came from a comic book," etc. I should have written the names down, my fault on that part, although I do remember some: Cataclysm, Drop of Doom, SkyScreamer, LunasSEE, and Vertical Velocity. They also asked stuff about their Facebook page and their newsletter, and said that whoever took the survey was entered to win tickets to the park (in the survey they just said "a prize" when I had to enter my e-mail address). Did anyone else get this in their e-mail? And could they put down the other ride names if they have them? By the way, spotted and error.

Another one of my ElecTRONica videos is up! (and for some reason it isn't HD... oh well.) (the song is Around The World by Daft Punk, btw) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCPQZ3D5EE4 *EDIT: 2:24 A.M. (Yes, A.M. )* I've finally gotten my Laserman video up. It's the last of my ElecTRONica videos (for now...). Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1MfXXhccmw

Legoland Florida Discussion Thread
gameplayer951 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Huh? I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. That's like saying "This seems like just another Disney park to me. If you've been to one, you've been to them all." I'm sorry, but I've actually been to them all! I can tell you they are all very different and all very AWESOME! --Robb Well, we have our differences in parks. I know you and Elissa are big fans of the Lego parks, and I'm a huge fan of the Disney parks. So that's just my opinion. BTW, I highly disagree in your Disney park comment! [all the landscaping / rides are different, besides the clones (i.e. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Muppet*Vision 3D, etc.)] -

This seems just like another Lego theme park to me. If you've been to one, you've been to them all. -
I only got one coin this time... those games are addicting! (I played Donkey Kong and Pac-Man twice each ) But of course I'd be able to! It just depends on the next time I go to the parks. Here are my pictures of opening night! ElecTRONica has started! A cardboard Recognizer! This actually talked to you. I didn't really listen to what it had to say, but it went something like, "Be safe and have fun." Oh yeah, Laserman was there. Artsy! Formal. Inside Flynn's - with flash! ...and without flash! But inside, it looked like an ACE convention with people who liked retro games more than coasters. And also with 80's music playing the entire time. I loved the added touch of realism (I mean, from the movie into real life ). Under this lies the game I suck at. Terribly. End of Line Club - with flash! End of Line Club - without flash! Let's head over to the sneak peek, shall we? A look at the DJ station. (AWESOME LED lighting!!) No, the sign isn't burned out already. It just switches around the lighting of "TRON" for some odd reason. ...see? This is the usual length of the line for the sneak peek. BUT, the whole Muppet*Vision theater can seat just the right amount of people! My seat for the preview. It was amazing! They showed part of the new trailer (up until Flynn's son goes into the Tron world), and then about 10 minutes of the film (I'm not going to spoil anything, but Daft Punk makes a very quick 2 second cameo!). The red and blue lights above us and the wind machines basically made it a 4D sneak peek, too! Muppet*Vision 3D shows earlier on in the day, then at about 5:30 they close it and replace it with the sneak preview. A woman in front of my dad and I was saying "How is that possible?! I mean, just... how?!" Is it really that hard to figure out? Oh yeah, there's pretty awesome face painting, too. I failed to get any of the Tron merch, but they sell the usual: shirts, toys, and other movie-related stuff. Including a disc! (You know, like in the fighting sequences? Or from the game Discs of Tron?) The laser at the entrance lit up and was sequenced to all of the lighting and projections going on on Hollywood Blvd. Very cool. One last look at the entrance. One other last look at the entrance - with flash! ...and just to taunt PCW_Nut... I love this little thing! (oh god, that sounded dirty...) There you go! Videos should be up in a bit!

I have an update on some things! (these photos are from Sunday, October 3rd, btw.) Maliboomer's top has fully come off. Maliboomer's sign is still there, though. Paradise Pier Ice Cream Co.'s facade has been finished for a while now. Is California Screamin's track getting a repaint now, too? Rockwork is getting done pretty quickly! RSR's track has been covered for the recent rain. LOTS of steel! A little peek over at the new Cars Land entrance. New ElecTRONica countdown. These thingies (I have no idea what they're actually called...) now light up! New theming on the corner of the steel... thingies. (My mind is blank today!) A little overlook at the three-way intersection. (I said three-way!! HARHARHAR) New screen has been put up. And just to let you know, the walls at the end of the street are coming down by Thursday! DJ station. Lots of projectors and lights... Gogo dancer stations have been put up. (Are they Robb's favorite thing to look at?) New lights are up as well. No more scaffolding! The End of Line Bar is going to be here... ...complete with duct tape seats! I'm wondering if we'll be able to go inside or not... after all, this "restaurant" has been a prop since DCA opened. Still no Flynn's sign. Head CM's (or, at least one was) were inside inspecting some things. Perhaps for use as a last minute food cart? The mural is being taken apart already. :/ Sorry for it being so long!

The Official TPR 2010 Europe Trip Thread

Lmao!! Any more videos of drunk Piers? -
*sigh* I hate seeing rides close. Especially at Disney! But yes, it was very out of place, like Robb said. And I do believe that I got the last pictures of Maliboomer EVAR. (on TPR, at least) The station, which was full of people standing around doing nothing! -.- [my guess was that it was broken down, because there was a 30 minute wait (shock!), unless that was because people found out about the ride closing.] Final park index love for Maliboomer.

When I was there, I saw scaffolding on the second floor near the right side under the mural (didn't even think about getting a picture of it...). Maybe they're getting it ready for a reopening? Anyway, I think that Disney should change the Starcade into Flynn's. Probably won't happen, though. And about ElecTRONica... *eep*

And finally, the last of my photos. The clay figure of Ariel (as noted). CARS LAND!!!! (The one thing that I'm most hyped up about!!!) Luigi's Flying Tires queue. OMG!! SNEAK PEEK!!! Sexy logo! Concept art / layout for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. This ride's going to be very heavy on scenery... Looks fun! And to conclude my Blue Sky Cellar pics, I have a video of the video that's being showcased! (Watch in HD! And sorry to spam, but like and subscribe if you have the time, please! ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAz9Y4_7Fno I have never seen Dot right there in front of my face when I've walked into Bug's Land. Ever. *facepalm* The new, better detailed entrance / link between Hollywood Pictures Backlot and Bug's Land. Looks great! New sign for the index! Another view... FUN FACT: I won't go on Tower of Terror. I absolutely HATE the sensation of freefalling without anything holding me in properly (that's why I'm good on coasters ). I've had too many nightmares of me falling into a black hole of nothingness, too... BUT, I can say that I've been on it before - when I was about 7 or 8. I was stupid back then; I wasn't afraid of anything. And since then, I've come to my senses about lots of things... Anyway, enough about me. Tower of Terror... THROUGH THE TREES! Red Car Trolley's track progress. Yep. Glow Fest preshow (?). I didn't have time to go into the main even later on, so no pics of that until next time! I have been to Glow Fest before, though. Very pumped up street party, with random drunk people starting random dance-offs with other random drunk people... definitely a place for the people from Jersey Shore. And this fall I heard that they were going to change the theme to TRON!!! :D:D My family and I talked to a cast member for a good 10 - 20 minutes, and he said that the mural in the front was going to be taken down. BUT, the Golden Gate bridge will be staying because of / it is (I can't remember which he said) the foundation of the monorail tracks (or something like that), and it'd be way too much of a hassle to take down. Time to go the car with some park index love... Blurry shot of Nemo station. Waterfall! Nemo subs / station. I leave you with a pretty shot of Matterhorn. Hope you liked the photo TR! Expect another one soon! (I love having an AP to Disneyland!! ) -

Just realized that Windows Live Photo Gallery needed to update - and it's better than the regular Windows Photo Gallery, which I used for the earlier photos... oh well. So these pictures will be of greater quality! Little Mermaid ride layout. Random "where this ride's going to be" thing. Some of the architecture is going to be based on old-time amusement parks. Info on the Scuttle animatronic. My bad, animation sheets on the animatronic. Info on the Ariel animation sheets of the animatronic. (HA! GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME!) Facial features on the Ariel animatronic. Concept art is put high up on the back wall. OPENING 2011!!!! (I'm actually hyped up about this ride, even though it's Little Mermaid! ) Red car trolley model. Concept art for the eastern side of Paradise Pier. Wall of Goofy's Sky School concept art! (I LOVE the type of cartoon that it's inspired by!) Wall of Red Car Trolley concept art. Concept art for new restaurants. (Lotsa concept art!) Wall / glass case of memories! (Aww...) Forgot to take up-close pics of the bottom two shelves, so I cropped the original photo. (And yes, I have a damn-good-high-quality-picture-takin' camera!) I need those two pins!! Toy Story Midway Mania enhancements. Blurry! But still kinda visible! (I hope...) More pictures soon. -

WASSAT?! OMG! RSR TRACK!! :D The other side of Cars Land's architecture looks like it's done (meaning that the steel frame is already covered up). Someone needs to get on top one of the hotels facing them and take some pics! Last World of Color stage picture. No, I didn't see it that night. :'( Still workin'. Maliboomer... Apparently the ride had broken down, because people were just standing around doing nothing. And people were getting out of line. The longest I've ever seen the wait for Maliboomer. R.I.P. (I never even got to ride it!) :/ Park index love. Line wasn't long, but I didn't stop to ride it. I'm not really a fan of Golden Zephyr. But will it stay, or go? I don't think it really fits in. Maybe a retheme will do the trick. Pretty. Close-up on the Little Mermaid construction. WANNA SEE INSIDE OF THE NEW RIDE?! (yes, we've fast forwarded 9 months into the future!!!) Okay, not really. It's actually a model of the ride inside of Blue Sky Cellar! I'll start at the beginning of the ride. This is Ariel's Grotto. "Under the Sea." No flash = better? Ursula's lair. "Kiss the Girl." "Love's First Kiss." What, don't see Ursula? There she is! "Happily Ever After" / Finale. Ride vehicles / shells / doombuggies. Handicapped ride chariot. (fits one wheelchair and one additional rider.) NOTED! More photos tomorrow.
