For students trying to get into the industry, you should consider joining the Themed Entertainment Association - TEA. We have a very active Next Gen division helping new people into the industry with many backstage networking events through the year.
We were standing in a field on the North side of the Atlantis building at Kennedy. The launch was 5 miles away so the Atlas was very small, in fact the rocket itself could hardly be seen, but the flame was clearly visible and the noise was pretty impressive.
I watched the launch from the Kennedy Space Center. The rocket caught everyone by surprise by blasting off with 10 seconds to go in the countdown. Then the commentator said 'Sorry, we forgot there's a 10 second delay in relaying the countdown!'
It looked like Robb had said 'So what does this button do?' DON'T TOUCH THAT BUTTON SIR!
Fantastic to see, even from 5 miles away.
Another great hit for the Grona Lund team - especially Peter Osbeck, without whom these rides wouldn't get built. Contratulations Peter, Johan and Mattius! Can't wait to ride it and meet the twins...
