  1. I will go on absolutely anything but I have to say the Big Shot at the Stratosphere Tower gave me the willies big time!
  2. Oooh, in that second picture of London you can see my building! Famous at last (about time). Have a great trip in our wonderful country guys, even if you are in the North *ptooey*
  3. Hey Jarmor, Thanks so much for the DVDs! For something that was FREE *winks and nods at Jarmor* the quality is great and watching it really brought back some great memories for us. I think it's fair to say that the DVD also serves as a great advertisement for HHN *winks and nods and Jarmor* and projects the incredible atmosphere of the event (which has GOT to be unrivalled BTW) really nicely. From a personal point of view it would've been great to get some footage from inside the houses but that is purely a personal thing and I wholeheartedly agree with your decision not to include this: the full marvel of the houses should only be experienced, not seen on screen. The DVD has the perfect balance to whet the appetite. I also thought including thw whole of the Bill & Ted show was a nice thouch, my girlfriend and I really saw that as a pleasant surprise of the HHN event, the quality was so much better than the usual theme park all singing, all dancing feyre. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
  4. I know I just couldn't find a sarcasm icon so tried a smooth wink! I was really disappointed with Air. Tatsu looks really cool though, I can't wait!
  5. Yeah, fingers crossed. I heard it may even be better than Air at Alton Towers. I'm dismissing this as absolute KrAzy talk until I test it for myself.
  6. Nice one Robb, thanks for the advice. FFS we had to pick one of the busiest times to go! Do you expect Tatsu to be up and running by then?
  7. I was thinking there might be one or two people on here who know a thing or two about this park. I heard Rob and Elissa have been know to be in the area from time to time. Me and the missus will be in LA on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of April this year and will definitely be visiting SFMM one of those days. That's Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Which would be the best day, in your experience, to visit the park? From what I can gather more trains would be running on the Sunday but with it being the weekend I was thinking it would be pretty packed, so would Monday or Tuesday be better despite the limited trains? I know nooooothing. It's unlikely we'll visit any of the other LA parks as we'll be doing ultra-touristy stuff. Any recommendations?
  8. Hi Jarmor, I was wondering whether you would mind sending a couple of DVDs to the UK?! I tried PMing you a couple of times but they're stuck in my outbox for smome reason, maybe I don't know what I'm doing ha ha. My girlfriend and I spent the last day of an amazing Florida trip at Islands of Adventure for the first night of HHN and it was absolutley fantastic. From the houses, to the rides in the dark, to the Bill & Ted ride, just watching your intro brought back so many great memories, so thanks just for that! So, yeah, I'm after two copies if that's possible. I would be more than happy to reimburse you (by Paypal or whatever's possible) for your costs, as I think your DVD would make a really nice little Valentine's gift for my woman, and of course I'd like a copy for myself too! Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers Ralph
  9. Thanks Robb. It's just that I hadn't thought about it any way other than a standard drop ride, like Dr Doom's Fearfall for example, but my Dad has this theory after riding it a few years back that it's just a very clever simulator and you don't actually experience what you feel like you are. After riding simulators like Spiderman at IOA I'd started to think maybe he's not crazy! Will definitely checkout tinhead's walk through and POV when I get a chance, sounds good going by the feedback.
  10. jarmor, Florida420 and Mulchpuppy thanks a lot for the advice people, gonna book the tickets today I think. Special thanks to Florida420 for speaking my language.
  11. Hi guys, wonder if you could give me a little advice. My girlfriend and I are travelling over to Florida from England for 2 weeks on 17th Sept and as luck would have it, our last day, the 30th, a day we'd planned to visit one of the Unviersal parks anyway, turns out to be the first night of HHN. So obviously we wanna go, it sounds great! We've attended similar events at Alton Towers and Thorpe Park over here (specially constructed houses filled with actors) and they've been amazing so we're so excited about this one because you guys across the pond put our parks to shame! We've been debating whether to get our tickets online before we leave. We plan on visiting IOA during the day and then HHN in the evening of the 30th and we'll be getting fastpasses too. From my understanding the cheapest way to do it would be do just buy our tickets for the day when we get there and then upgrade with the "Stay and Scream" thing on the day. Yesterday we agreed to do it this way but I'm having second thoughts as I'm worried that HHN for that night will sell out and we will end up missing out for the sake of saving $20 or so. What would you seasoned pro's advise us to do? Any advice would be much appreciated!
