  1. Having grown up in Santa Rosa CA (about 10 min south from Windsor) Windsor Waterworks (as I remember it "Gonna Get Wet! You Gonna Get Weehtt!!" was the TV plug) was the closest thing to a water or amusement park in the area besides Marine world Africa USA and Train Town (Now known as Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Train Town still stands in Sonoma with a coaster credit!). I just remember always wanting to go and my parents never wanting to take me. Finally I got to go and the one thing that really stuck with me was riding Excalibur. It was the only body side out of the 4 and I was thrilled and terrified at the same time. Being a chubby kid I wondered as I slid down whether the side would brake or if I would drown before I hit the bottom from all the water slapping my face. Fun little park all together! All that's left is the grassy knoll that used to host the sides and the crappy trailer park next door.
  2. Thought I'd throw this out there. Has anyone heard about the last promotion they had at the Speed Cafe? THE BOMB?!?! It's a 6 POUND by 2 FOOT burrito!! WTF!?!? Your prize for conquering this monstrosity? UNLIMITED RIDES ON SPEED and a t-shirt. Six pounds of puke......Last time I dropped into the cafe they only have a wall of shame of people who couldn't finish it. (If that's the case you get a shirt that says "Wienie" instead of "I conquered the bomb!") So look out for a new Man Vs. Food to bump ridership or another challenger could appear. (Robb...looking at you )
  3. Looks incredible! I'm in Mesquite, NV so thats a cool 3-4 hour trip but I've never seen the great salt lake before and your work looks phenomenal! The only catch is getting the little sisters and cousins out for a summer trip. Plus I would mind getting some credits at Lagoon.
  4. Was downtown a month ago (unwittingly during Knight Rider Con..thingy..lots of K.I.T.'s and a fully decked out Delorean ) and "Neo" was open but the ticket prices were outrageous so didn't see anything. Wasn't there a restaurant/arcade deal in the same building as "Neo"?
  5. Seriously, everything on that end of the strip can go. Blow up and start new. I've lived in Vegas for about a year now and my visits to Circus Circus have always been... unpleasant....Yeah, that's the word. Adventure Dome is a good idea but with such limited space its only a matter of time before the whole thing goes stale. And its already there. The whole Circus Circus has deteriorated (and was always pretty tacky) far beyond repair and its time they salvaged Canyon Blaster and toss the flat rides and let Wile E. take the Acme TNT to it. The beds in that place are like sleeping on Soda Cans..no joke. Note: I'm really interested what they may do with Star Trek the Experience now that the movie is a Hit. There's the rumor that it will move to Neonopolis at the end of Fremont St. But they are probably just going to reopen it at the Hilton rather than move all that junk over. I'm glad that this is going into consideration seeing as the Experience is the only high end Attraction in Vegas and I enjoyed it very much.I guess it also depends on whether or not Cedar Fair will come back to host. Also, I'm now old enough to enjoy a goldfish bowl sized, dry ice infused, alcoholic beverage from Quarks Bar...should the specialty drinks return as well.
