  1. I'm so confused about that stage. Is it going to be submerged and then have the ability to raise out of the water for the show or something, or does it exist merely to hold effect apparatus for the show, so will remain submerged? I really have no idea what its purpose is. It's frickin' huge!
  2. I'll hijack this thread to ask a broad related question, instead of creating a new one. How do I turn off the automatic notification I of replies in threads I've posted in? It's mildly annoying, not come across a BB board that has it as a default setting, and I can't for the life of me find where to switch it off in my profile!
  3. I think it's a lexicon that's derived primarily from ignorance but that's just me. But I'd agree, hence why he became a target of that false case - he was giving (innocently), somewhat to a fault. As far as his state, he's in rehearsals right now for a potential 2/3 year world tour, 50 O2 dates of which have become the fastest selling in history. He's not doing too bad! To steer this back in perhaps a more safe direction, I shall enquire as to the whereabouts of the rides! Should be interesting to ride out. I'm not overly sure what he owned but yeah, It would be a reasonable assumption that they were sold some time ago.
  4. Guess I'm the resident Michael Jackson fan then. The auction never happened. Michael sued the auction company as it appears he never wanted to auction the stuff in the first place - apparently something got lost in translation between him and his allegedly seedy new manager, Dr. Tohme. So yeah.. no-one brough any Michael Jackson items from an auction because such auction never happened and never will happen. Michael retains possession of his things and apparently they'll be placed in museum of some sort - they were on display for fans the other day. HOWEVER, now "Neverland" doesn't exist - after it's refinance and Michael now being co-owner of the property it's now called Sycamore Ranch. He never intends to live there again so there's a big possibility he may have sold the rides that were not in the auction catalogue. And I forgive you all on the innuendo on, of course, an aquitted and vindicated man
  5. I visited the park as a young teenager and, apart from the strong stench of weed around Psyclone/Deja Vu (which can be dismissed anyway as this wasn't a rare occurrence around LA generally), I found the clientelle of Magic Mountain to be fine. For a little boy from England on holiday in LA, I wasn't intimidated in the slightest. I'd heard very bad things about the park and it's various rough edges, but I seriously didn't think it was that bad.
  6. Ahaa, thanks very much. Aah, that doesn't read too badly, actually. I guess the lake in PP is obviously going to be the largest and most obviously site of construction. Hopefully they can finish the staging and re-fill it quickly. I was thinking the other day... I actually think the loss of the Mickey silhouette will be a big shame, especially at night when it shines neon and radiates 'Disney' to those driving past. I guess such a novelty is being lost for a more quality product though.
  7. Do they have any publicised structure of this overhaul. It's all a bit here and there, people planning to go in the future could benefit from a 'construction' calender so they can know what to expect? And also, what's the immediacy of the attractions opening. I mean, obviously Fun Wheel will as soon as it can - but when World of Colours in it's entirety is finished - to they plan to start utilising it straight away? Sorry for the questions.. just very interested in this all!
  8. Does anybody know what they plan to do with Mulholland Madness. I'm still so surprised they chose to keep it Though already the area is starting to convey much more thorough Disney quality. Especially when that freakin' Orange goes.
  9. Hello All, My names Lewis. I'm 17, and an enthusiast from England. Naturally, that makes Alton Towers my favourite local park, but elsewhere I've been to LA 3 or 4 times and have all of their parks on my Theme Park Portfolio. Nice to meet you
