  1. Ugh. Dude, you serious? I remember exiting Goliath and thinking to myself, "Is that vomit? I think I'll walk over it anyway". Then the rest of my group walked right through it. Haha.
  2. I never would have thought that by my 4th official post on TPR, I would already have enemies. After reminiscing on the event, I am obligated to tell everyone just how much I apologize for the actions of my team(Team 30) at WCB. Me being 1 of 3 Adults in a group of 6, I must say that it was very much a "Spur of the Moment" idea in which we obviously did not think through. I apologize to the employees at Magic Mountain who spent hours ensuring this Scavenger Hunt would be entertaining for us guests. I especially apologize to the other 29 teams, who as a result of what we did, wasted hours of what could've been valuable ride time, looking for a clue that we had covered with a recycling bin. I really didn't mean that in the sense it came across as. That was obviously just an excuse I made up for why it was we didn't have our voices heard about being disqualified. Because after thinking about it, I know what we did was wrong, and I am sorry if our actions in any way afflicted your enjoyment of the event. I would've actually been quite appreciative if I had won a Guide Wheel from Sierra Twist. Having been to Knott's Winter Coaster Solace many times in the past, my brother won various items such as a Block of Wood and Pieces of Track from Ghostrider, and even a Tire from Supreme Scream. But sadly, I have yet to win a ride part. Well, except for the Block of Wood everyone got from Terminator. Lol. Hopefully everyone understands that quite simply, I'M SORRY. ...and despite the actions carried out by my team, I hope everyone who participated in the Scav-A-Ganza managed to have a great deal of fun. On a side note, I want to thank everyone who made this event possible for such an amazing day at Magic Mountain. They really managed to make us feel like VIPs. -Matthew Black
  3. I must say that it was my group. I asked a few pages back if someone would be able to post the scores. 1st place=Team 30. Hey we shouldn't have been disqualified. I read through the whole rule book, it was totally legit. But it's ok, we stopped taking it personal after we found out that the prize was just a guide wheel from Sierra Twist. Regardless of what the prize was, my group had a blast. Hey and we met a few new people as well. Yea, we stuck around for a few minutes peaking out from inside the windows at Flags. We saw one group just walk right on by. But apparently, there was more than just one group. Lol. Tim Burkhart seemed to get a laugh out of that on stage at the Q&A. Maybe they'll have the Scav-A-Ganza again next year, but with one addition to the rule book. Oh and BTW guys, it was a Recycling Bin not a Trash Can. -Matthew
  4. I'm in photo 96, on the left. My name is Matthew Black, and this is my 2nd time posting with the screen name "hotstreak". The other dude in the pic is my friend George Sarkis. He doesn't have a screen name though. Big Mike, I want to thank you for the two RollerCoaster Magazines that I won. I must say it is very cool of you to give away so many great prizes to people you've only known for a couple of hours. Thanks Again!
  5. Would someone be able to post the team scores from the Scavenger Hunt? I was on team 30.
