  1. This year was my first visit to this fine park in over 10 years! A lot has changed over the years but one thing stayed the same... It's a real maze! The first time you have to get around in the park you better take a map because well we really needed it! The second time we went this year I was used to it a bit more and finding the rides went more smooth. It's a lovely park with nice rides. For me it was the first time on black mamba and it was a huge difference with all the other roller coasters I have been on! It was also my first B&M roller coaster. It's a great ride and for once I didn't lose 2 brain cells during a roller coaster ride! Other then black mamba phantasialand offers many more rides that are worth to mention! For example Colorado Adventure which is a fun and wild train ride. There's of course also Winjas fear and force which thanks to my second visit i've done both. I don't really have a preference between the two. Fear did seem a bit faster altough I'm not completely sure because there where a few months in between the two visits. There are also one other ride that I'd like to mention and that's Race for atlantis. I didn't know what to expect of this ride because I didn't know it. I was a bit disappointed when I discovered it was a motion simulator. That is until the attraction started and it became clear it wasn't a regular one! Call me silly but I really loved the ride! I'm going back soon for the Wintertraum and might be staying at hotel Matamba for a two dayer! Unfortunately it's still far from certain. Anyway here are some pictures from both visits: MOD EDIT: I hope you don't mind that I slightly edited your spelling. Thanks thanks for posting we know it is difficult to write in your non-native langauge - larrygator My second try also failed... Colorado adventure is to fast to capture on film. Mystery castle... being mysterious! Waiting for black mamba you find this rather unfortunate fellow! You're doing it wrong! Awtch I don't know why but I seem to find ducks in every themepark I go to. This one tried to steal my lunch! Only 45 minutes of waiting and that will be us! They have metal birds in Phantasialand! Wuze town As an Indy fan I just had to take a picture. Had no time for a play tough Oooh let's do that to! View of deep in africa with hotel matamba still under construction. We found this strange little guy in the woods. Black mamba is calling me!
  2. No turbine was open but with huuuuugeee waiting times! yea i've tought about that but it's a bit far from here and my friend that went along is not so much into it as me so it seems a bit hard. Thanks to all for the nice comments by the way.
  3. My avatar is my nickname and pet. I also look like this in rollercoasters!
  4. Thanks for your welcome and info! I took the part about the trip report into account as you might notice! I might add another later on.
  5. Hi all! Since the first time i've been to the halloween festival at walibi belgium I loved it. It's simply the best one close to where I live. So this year things promised to be handled better and more professionally so I expected a lot. The saying seems true. If you expect to much you'll be disappointed and I kind of was. The last year there was a bit of entertainment in the park with serveral actors running around. The problem this year was that I missed this a bit. Specially after dark settled in I found that the previous years had a lot more actors and random stuff. It seemed like they just upgraded there halloween attractions. Another downside of this "professional" approach was that you had to pay extra for all the halloween attractions. Even tough this year the attractions where better it's still not near as good as i've seen other parks do! I liked the previous years more. There was just more atmoshepere about. Walibi is not my favorite park to be honest. It has some good rides but other then the good rides there are little other rides. For example on the whole left side of the parc you have: Cobra, radja river, turbine, tea-cups, challenge of toetanchamon. That's it on that half of the park! Anyway enough bla bla! Time for pictures Unfortionatly I only have pics of the day halloween attraction and not of the complete park. The park was a bit busy and a lot of time was spend in queues. Hope you like my first TR! And some people say this park doesn't have enough green! I find all feris wheels horror! Halloween ghost train! Somebody forgot a boat. No really this is not theming I think... Major wetness alert... Temprature check... Result: No thank you lets pass on this one! This looks kind of like krusty the clown meets real world. He was nice enough to pose with his friend. The free attraction had ducks of horror! The free "day" halloween attraction. It had clowns. I'm more scared of pinguins then of this specific clown. One of the last pictures of Vertigo. What a waste, didn't even operate for a year I think. Glad I got to ride it before they closed it! I found the start and end of a rainbow in walibi! I didn't get a pot of gold Yuuuck water on a water ride! Let's ignore all safety rules. People who are about to receive a head whooping!
  6. Hello everybody! My real name is Waudru. I live in belgium and am currently 24 and work as a tester. I basically test stuff, to be more exact for my work I test application for the european union and for fun I test rollercoasters and other rides as much as I can. I have other hobbies tough. I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan and never turn down an opportunity to see a gig. I'm also very interested in photography and am currently taking a class and going to upgrade my camera. I also like a good party or a quite night at home with my games. Other then this I have a few pets. One bunny and two dogs run on the lose here. As far as home park goes for me this would be Bobbejaanland. I live around 30 minutes from the park. It's also the park I used to go to as a little kid. It defiantly has changed a lot over the years and not always for the good. I'm a bit busy with my work and all the hobbies I have so I might not be around all the time but I like to come by from time to time and read some trip reports. I love reading trip reports from parks in the USA because it gives me an idea what parks are like overthere. I'd also like to write some reviews of parks overhere when you are interested. I could write a few from this year but the latest i've been was around 25 octorber so they wouldn't be completely recent. The most recent park i've been to is walibi belgium for it's halloween event. In total I've gone on around 28 rollercoasters (including ones not operating anymore) Ps. Sorry if my english is off. I do my best but since it's not my first language and I have a small amount of language problems it's not always easy.
