  1. For the last time, dueling IS an important factor on this ride. It's totally appropriate to be frustrated if they don't get that figured out. People who doubt the park's ability to get it racing are coming to that conclusion based on three factors: 1) The park has been struggling with this even for their media events, and when people aren't even getting on and off the train, 2) Even with three trains, any park would be hard-pressed to maintain 30-second dispatches, especially when a guest pulling the lap bar down creates a delay, and 3) The park has a track record of terrible operations over the years. It's perfectly reasonable to not hold your breath on the dueling, and it's also perfectly reasonable to be irritated if it doesn't happen. Well...if it is not going to DUEL I better not go on it! Oh Brother.
  2. Whenever I see a picture of the re-painted Scream this is all I can think about... what's the point if they're not even going to cover up the parking lot under the ride? Personally I'd rather they didn't paint it and spend far less money on mulch, rocks, dirt... anything than they did on the new paint. That to me would be a bigger improvement. I would be happy with dirt underneath Scream. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed.......and sank. ...pages and pages ago and this topic always finds away to come back.
  3. The structure is so WHITE and the track just POPS. Love how they actually are in the process of painting most of the steal beam white. Makes a huge difference in the overall appearance. We should also give a little credit to the theming. Thumbs up RMC/MM.
  4. This is 100% our goal! Its a great goal to have and why this old guy comes here daily. You are never too old for rollercoasters.
  5. Would anyone else like to get banned for being stupid tonight? LMAO right now.
  6. Its' SO WHITE!!! Love it. The two teaser pics are SWEET!!!!
  7. Wouldn't go quite that far. In all seriousness, I'm glad they're offering a tour and can't wait to see the photos and videos that come to fruition. as I always tell me son..."Good things come to those that wait"
  8. I'm sorry, but that is such bull$#it... How come SFNE can take and post to the media a video of Wicked Cyclone's first test run [and it was pretty apparent by the applause after it was the FIRST], but there's some sort of super top secret PR blockade that makes SFMM or Twisted Colussus different? Seriously SFMM?..... I'm sorry but why do you think it is YOUR RIGHT to be able to see video of their first test run? If the park didn't want it released for whatever reason, they didn't release it. I'm just so sick of this awful "entitlement" attitude so many coaster enthusiasts carry. Parks aren't going to make decisions to cater to YOUR personal preferences to matter how entitled you think you are. Deal with it and stop complaining like a two year old baby. Personally, I'm at least happy they released the first drop footage and we have someone out at the park right now on a construction tour so maybe we'll get more footage. Well said Robb! Whatever happened to "Less is More" MM knows what they are doing...geez.
  9. I, too, have lived my entire life in California and I still don't know true ejector airtime. The most airtime-filled coaster I've ever ridden is Appolo's Chariot, and I really am hoping Twisted Colossus will teach me the meaning of what an "airtime machine" is. I too have lived in California my entire life and the greatest "ejector airtime" coaster ever was the "Turn of the Century" at Great America in the late 70's. The two camel backs after the main drop were AMAZING!!!
  10. ...like how incredibly awesome Twisted Colossus is going to be....and yes I too will do my best and stop being facetious. It is just hard some times.
  11. Yes it is a public forum but if someone wants to give an opinion on the longest hybrid coaster in the world with some very unique elements that is still under construction...please at least get the name right. Geez. I wonder how many enthusiasts are talking crap on Twisted Syclone?
  12. Are you kidding me with your comments? You cannot even get the name or spelling right. LMAO!!!!
  13. What a great photo. So much, wood, steel, head choppers & twisty awesomeness!!! Whoever says this combination is ugly needs their head examined.
  14. We better all get used to that in the coming months. It is a shame that California is not better prepared for this drought. With our planet covered in 2/3 water there is no excuse for this. We should be investing in Desalination Plants not a silly hi-speed train through the Central Valley. Sorry to get off topic everyone.
  15. That, and it depends on how you're sitting in the seat. The grey out comes from the train banking to the right going into the helix and then the G-force sucking the blood out of your head. If you keep your head straight (perpendicular to the car), the effect is maximized. If you tilt your head to your left so that your head is perpendicular to the ground as opposed to the car, it minimizes the G-force's effect since the blood cant be sucked out of the side of your face. If you grey out on Goliath and don't want to, that's a why to help curtail it. Heck no..I welcome the grey out sensation. hahaha and thanks for the informative reply.
  16. Very well said. If anyone expects anything more than go to a Disney Park. Just like when there are complaints about to many motion type simulator rides/attractions....why wouldn't you expect that from a movie studio?
  17. Maybe so but I am looking forward to (2) 125' 80 degree drops vs WC (1) 109' 78 degree drop. Granted they will both be insane in their own and unique way.
  18. they are obviously there for cosmetic reasons and I hope they paint them grey.
  19. While we are at it every other post should contain the parking lot discussion under Scrteam
  20. and lets not forget they are grey in the promo video since August 28th.
  21. I have a feeling that 2% means they are going to stay grey. If they were going to be painted white one would think they would be painted before the track was attached as it would be much easier. I agree that TC would look better if indeed they were white but either way the ride experience will be quite amazing.
