  1. The website states Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is Now Open. No grand opening?
  2. For anyone who has ridden it. Is there any stomach dropping on the first drop? The more the better but it looks like the restraints wouldnt give you that much freedom.
  3. Take a breather^^^^^ I was just kidding, I would never risk my camera.
  4. It's not like they're testing for no reason. There's obviously something wrong. Don't expect it open anytime soon. Where did i say in my post I'm expecting it to open soon? Read the whole post by another person before commenting on it.
  5. I wonder how much more testing is needed. From what I've heard theres nothing new. It seems like their doing more testing then needed but idk I'm no engineer.
  6. My friend is down at Universal till tuesday. She asked a park person and she said possibly tuesday the ride might open . But they have all been wrong before
  7. Lol. ^^^^ Does anyone think the trains look a little odd. I'm not much of a fan of those X-cars. They just look kinda weird.
  8. Flying turns is a little bit more complicated than this in my opinion. I just don't think Universal is trying to get the ride open anytime soon. They need to stop making dates untill they know exactly when the ride will open. Like all the july opening claims.
  9. Yeah but you guys are comparing like the first of its kind rides. Flying turns uses a completly different approach to rollercoasters and kingda ka is the tallest in the world. HRRR is nothing special of its kind. Vertical chainlift has been done. Its a simple drop. The uninverted loop may be different but its not Insanly crazy. Its a medium sized ride but other monsters like Millenium Force are way more advanced that this. The point I'm making is that there is really not a reason this ride should be postponed for so long.
  10. Well there goes another big delay if they dont open it by friday. But hey, what else is new?
  11. Haha..I have been following this thread since the beginning. I truly hope this opens before August..its looking kinda slim though. Oh well I figured by your new account you just saw this thread. My mistake. And yeah anything will do to take crowds away from my mummy.
  12. Wouldnt it be the greatest full-scale slap in the face if this ride sucked?
  13. Leave it up to Universal to pick Maurer Sohne as the manufacturer
  14. It has taken a while haha. And considering there is like no themeing compared to the other rides
  15. ^^^^^^^ You think your getting impatient. Try following this thread since the beginning lol. But I wonder if Universal will face another letdown because this is the last week in July. Its either now or never.
  16. What part of the ride that has not been put up should we obsess about now? I vote the banners!
  17. Extra!Extra!Read all about it! I have some good news. I'm currently staying in Orlando and I took a brochure from the little case thingys in the front by the entrance. Anyways it was a Universal Studios brochure and on the back it states "Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Coming this July at Universal Studios". I'll get a picture later tonight.
  18. Well has much as I hate to say it but wouldnt the rings have to be put before they start soft opening because thats the last thing before the grand opening.
  19. Well as of the 4th of July the ride is still closed but wikipedia stated park officials said the ride should be up and running in about a week so that gives us a decent time range. I personally think the ride wil be open later then a week.
  20. Has much been going on with the coaster itself? I havent heard much in a while.
  21. Well that should make up for the 40 million they spent on this ride
  22. Yes!!!! A HUMAN has ridden it. This might actually mean that it MAY (keyword "may") soft-open soon. And to think those were just rumors
