Ride removal has started at the park.When I went by today they were removing the truck ride located near the tilt-a-whirl.They also had a bigger truck waiting outside.The last I heard from Robert was that they were waiting on a bankruptcy attorney for their next step.I hope this doesn't mean they found a buyer who just wants the land. I also hope that Michael and Robert still have a shot, to me they seem like the parks best chance for survival. I'll send more as soon as I find anything out.Chris

07/31/07- 1.Today we delivered the Support Joyland Amusement Park Petition with 774 signatures.This after only eight days of gathering signatures.This number will only grow.I hope the city will talk with Michael/Robert and work things out.everyday the park sits empty and unused we all loose.Keep having people sign the online petition and we will keep gathering signatures. 2. Here is the response I received from Mayor Carl Brewer and Jim Skelton: Mayor Carl Brewer: I would be happy to meet with them if they had requested a meeting with me the only person thats asking for help on this project is(Chris Cane).We/I want joyland open just as you do but the owners must have a workable plan,I'm willing to do all that I can within the law to help.But everyone must keep in mind the city has many projects that are city owned and and we must make those a priority first.Have the OWNERS call me at 268-4331. I hope your right. but with the park closed immediately it sucks for those of us who purchased season passes. And I'm not sure someone would want to buy a failed park.

I dont think WWW could buy the rides .there are rumors circulating that he only leased the rides.And also they are having other problems.His marketing director quit to go to Hershey Park and His chief financial officer stepped down due to "health reasons"
