  1. Yeah, Starliner wasn't all that and a bag of chips -- but the fact that it was the first coaster built in Florida is what will keep saving it. Its got a historical significance that others didn't have. For example, I thought the Tornado at Petticoat Junction was a much better coaster and was built just a few years after SL -- it was probably Florida's best wooden coaster (not a fan of Gwazi), but it wasn't enough to save it from the wrecking ball in the 1980s.
  2. Well, I think a Fast and Furious attraction would be cool. Universal could use a major coaster -- perhaps an Intamin to spice things up. Fast and Furious gives a great opportunity as a concept. You know all those 10 second "Warp Speed Drag Race" sequences from the movie would make some sweet tunnels on a coaster. I think Universal has become so awesome simply because they constantly add and replace attractions never letting the major attractions getting stale. Most people were upset when Kongfrontation was eliminated, but I think most will also agree that The Mummy is a better ride.
  3. Many people tend to see Disney like say a Microsoft or a Ford. They are #1 in their industry for sales (best selling Windows or Ford F-150) but their products are generally considered lackluster (at least compared to competitor offerings). Just a guess, though.
  4. I know I'm new here, but has anyone got pics of Pirates of the Carribean since its been updated for the movies?
  5. Twister has got to be the most underrated attraction ever. Most people seem to ignore it because its "small." But its one of my favorites in the Studios..... The Mummy is amazing, too. I think if they remastered the video on Back To The Future and upsized it into a High Definition format -- it would still be pretty nice attraction. I think most of the problem stems from its old school projection..... I thought Christopher Lloyd and Tom Wilson are funny as heck in that movie.
  6. I totally agree.... We need more parks not less.... All these smaller parks seem like they are getting bulldozed..... Our future generation will probably never know what a non-corporate amusement park is. The family owned parks are growing extinct quickly. I love the big parks, too. But I just can't understand why they can't co-exist.
  7. Man, I love Kraken! That is a such a wild beast.... Best thing Orlando's got IMO.
