I think this may have been discussed before, a while ago, but how does HOS compare between the two parks? I thought I had read that BGW was looking to move more away from a family event and make it more like the Tampa event.

To see what the haunt industry is doing with innovative scare tactics, you have to go to haunts that are not at theme parks where they can get away with touching you, making you crawl, putting you in rooms that flip back and forth, etc. If anyone lives near Atlanta, check out Netherworld to see stuff that I wish HHN would be able to do, but they never will.
Thanks! I'll need to put that on my bucket list. I would much rather get a bunch of scares.

Glad to see construction coming along despite the recent flooding of the park.

^Every year I keep saying that I enjoy HOS more than HHN. I'm glad to see that everyone had a good time!

Had a great day at the park today and got a TON of Wild Eagle photos for you guys! (Scroll down for the photos!)
To recap the day briefly:
- The park has awesome food!
- Wild Eagle absolutely towers over the back of the park! It's size and location is really prevalent the closer you are to Mystery Mine and along Wilderness Pass.
- Outside of Timber Canyon and Wilderness Pass, you will not be able to see Wild Eagle from inside the park. You can just barely make it out standing next to Blazing Fury but the tree line hides most of the ride. (You can see the ride from Parking Lot B though)
- Construction on the ride has progressed up to the Zero-G Roll and everything is complete except for the exit portion of the element. It is extremely difficult to get a good shot of it as the tree line hides it above Timber Canyon. I'd say once the leaves fall off through Autumn, you will be able to get a better shot of it with a decent zoom lens.
- All of the water rides, except for the rapids are closed for the season. Pretty sure this is normal compared to past years.
- The park has awesome food!
- The park is currently holding the National Southern Gospel and Harvest Celebration. This is one of the many great seasonal events that Dolllywood holds each year.
- My 2.5 year old son got his first coaster credit on Veggie Tales! He JUST made it on as the marker touched to top of his scalp. I am a proud papa!
- The park has awesome food!
I think that about covers it. Now on to Wild Eagle photos!
You had me at awesome food...
Oh and congrats on the first credit for your son!

No more dorky than the rest of us. Shockeave definitely has some fun airtime. Though I think NTaG might have it beat now.
I couldn't remember which one I liked the best until you reminded me on NTaG! I was proud of all the bruises on my thighs after that!

I love the stay and scream option. Worth waiting inside the park for an hour just so you can get everything done quickly so you aren't running around later on. Can't wait to go on Saturday.

^Speaking of scary, my dad pretty much scarred me for life on my first one. When I was 8 he told me I had to hit a button to release the parachute on our way down or we wouldn't stop. Fun times.
-
^I know what you mean. I use to LOVE the park and would go all the time. I still think its one of the best parks I've been to and can still have fun there but it just seems like every time I go, it just seems a bit more less appealing.
-
^Thanks! I didn't even realize I got that deal last night. I'll definitely be using it!
-
Yeah it does look a lot better. I really enjoy the new color scheme!
-
^While I am extremely jealous! I'm sure you'll survive.
-
That looks really fun! I can't wait to check it out next year!
-
^Glad to hear its awesome! I can't wait to check it out soon!

^I really like the electronic queue systems anyway. I think it would be easier to manage the crowds then by reserving them. I remember have a flash pass for SFMM and it was the paper tickets and there is no control over the timeframes they would arrive.

Looks like East Coast Bash was a great time! I remember the TPR event in 2008. Longest day of my life but was freaking awesome.
-
^ It won't disappoint! Especially if you stay on site!
Thanks for making my expectations higher. It really does look like an awesome place to visit. I can't wait!
-
^That seriously sucks! Especially if you traveled so far to get somewhere.
-
^But at least you'd always have pretty much 0 Gs, even on the lift.

I've seen people fall on their face and on the back of their head because they decided to sit on the handrail. Usually as an operator, I didn't mind if people sat on the lower handrail (if there was one), that way their feet are still on the ground. But I was a Nazi when it came to sitting on the top one (as all ops should be).
I usually just hate when they make an announcement targeting someone specific and they never listen. It gets annoying to hear it over and over again because someone thinks they are above the rules.

As leader of the free world, maybe there is hope that Desmond can save The Big Dipper...
Haha, that is awesome! Surprised he doesn't want to dress up like Charlie Sheen!
-
Wow that looks awesome and kudos to them for going so fast!
-
^And being that I've never been to Europa Park, I'm quite excited to visit next year since I've only heard amazing things about that place.
-
I've never done the Serengeti and I have always wanted to so I'll really want to take advantage of this soon.
