  1. Excellent Trip Report... I have tickets and fastpasses to go on the 27th. Should be a great time. How long was the wait time for the rides? Was the mummy open?
  2. I will be heading up there on the 27th of October with my Brother and 2 friends if anyone is looking to hook up with a group. We sprung some extra money for the HHN Fast Pass too. So, if you have or are going to be getting tickets for that night with the fast passes, then you are more than welcome to join in. Just drop me a line on here and we can set it up. It's always better to go as a group. HHN 2006
  3. Looks like you had alot of fun. How did you come to have an exchange student with you anyway? Also, I never made it to BTTF last stand, had to work and I think I will regret it. Looks like a good day at the parks.
  4. I am sorry people are beating up on your plan for Disney. Your vacation is just that, YOURS. Use it as you see fit, and have a great time. If I may be allowed to make an observation? If you do go to Disney and are only interested in doing the coasters then you might be able to do the 4 parks in one day with your park hopper. But, I think you may be missing out on alot of the fun. I know I will probably catch hell for this, but, there are more to the parks than coasters. There are alot of great shows as well. I posted a few TPR's over the last 6 months, a few of them from Disney parks. Check out my profile, and you can read all of my posts. I do want to re-iterate Universal though. I know you mentioned you were on a budget. Truthfully, if you buy a ticket to both Universal and IOA one day two park pass, as well as the fast pass, which usually is only about 30 dollars total for both parks, you can do almost everything in both parks in one day. It will make for a long day, but I have done it plenty of times. It will probably cost you a total of about 120 dollars, give or take. Also, they are having Mardi Gras right now, and though I have never been, I hear it is a great time.
  5. You have alot planned for a few short days, but don't forget about Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. If you are looking for coaster credits... The Hulk, Dueling Dragons, also, I am not sure if it is a coaster credit or not, but the Mummy as well. Is that a credit? being that it's indoors? Maybe someone can square me away on that. Not that I am trying to talk you out of Disney by any means, but Universal is every bit as good, if not better. And one more And This as well You just HAVE to get this credit
  6. Thanks for the help JT3000!! I was looking for someone that might be able to tell me the best night to go, the best way to get the lowest prices, and other things to do at the park during this time. I am taking a somewhat large group as well. Are the rides still open at night? Is it just one parade each night? Or like other parks, do they come by like once an hour? Thanks for the tip on the concert stage..
  7. Okay, I have never been to Universals Version of Mardi Gras. I am taking a few friends up there and was looking for some tips on how to go about it, and what is the best part to see. Any help would be great.
  8. I went to Halloween Horror Nights Universal and Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream this year, I have never been to Disneyworlds Halloween themed party. It looks like it was quite a bit of fun. I think I'll have to go there next year with my little Sister. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Nice pictures. Love the T-shirt. You made mention of Back to the future closing at Islands of Adventure. Is it for certain, and when will it be?
  10. Each year I go to both, and I always have favored halloween horror nights. But, this year I think Howl-O-Scream is a bit better. The walkthroughs are just more intricate, and don't seem as packed. However, the Bill and Ted show blows everything else out of the water, and it's not like the houses are bad at Halloween Horror nights by any means, I just think they could be a bit better.I have only been to HHN, not HOS. So I can't judge. I heard the new house was really good and it was one of the best of the year. Also, I wish they would have expanded the Scarezones for HHN since they have put it in Universal. I agree about more scarezones. Since they compacted it to just universal this year, they should put more stuff up. The only thing I can think of is that they are trying to save money by not hiring more actors this year. from what I am told, they don't really make much money at these things, they just do it to get the exposure because this time of year can be kind of slow.

  12. This years Florida Halloween events were terrific. Started off at Busch Gardens Tampa Howl-O-Scream on Friday the 13th. I went with my roommate, we bought tickets online a month ago. We opted for the Haunted tour, complete with a "Ghoul Guide." If you have never been to this event before, I highly recommend getting the haunted tour. 20 people were supposed to be in our group, and only 8 of us actually showed up, so it wasn't to big. We got front row seating for the shows. And then went straight through to the haunted attractions with no wait. The haunted attractions were very well done, complete with tons of fog and scary noises in the background. The only thing I was bummed about is that the guided tour didn't come with fastpass access to the rides after the tour. They sell booklets at the opening of the park where you can go on each walk through house and coaster ride with no wait. But, they were sold out when we got there. Oh well, better luck next year. Halloween Horror Nights 16 @ Universal studios Orlando..... Went with a roommate and 2 other friends. I went the weekend prior, so I knew my way around. Had the fastpass once again, and like I said before, it was well worth the money. No more than 15 minute wait on all 7 haunted attractions. Bill and Ted's show is awesome, and it plays 7 times a night. They did change it this week, you couldn't get front access to the Bill and ted's show like you could last week. There were alot of people upset about that, but really every seat is a good one anyway. Until next year Biker chicks rock Nice harleys The bad girls Right this way What's the word? You can't hide Again this year Is it wrong to be attracted to the un-dead? You won't find this attention to detail anywhere else Nice float Just look up for directions Bill and Ted Didn't look real... Until it moved big crowd tonight Voice and all This guy is dead on scary Just in case you didn't know where you were Welcome Yes ma'am, you can do anything you would like to me HARD ROCK cafe.... Great place for dinner Time for HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS The HUNTED Wow, nice fro Hey, whats up Sorry, running out of pictures to post Watch all around Oops, my bad What is this? Talking headstones, cracking jokes all night CLUB MUSE, part of After Hours Lots of houses this year 3rd Dementia... Very trippy. One more shot They have these sound stages set up all over the park. Dance between rides AFTER HOURS haunted house... Cool music, good props, great house Show lasts about 30 minutes More hot girls Good character actors Our lead character for DECEASED Kind of hokey, but still funny the show CONTROL ALT= DECEASED Might have to try out next year Dancing girls anyone? FIENDS has it all FIENDS show... Very amusing, and all of the girls in the show didn't hurt
  13. Great pictures. The pictures I took of HHN didn't turn out that great, yours kind of fill in the gap Where was the car crusher though? I don't remember seeing it.
  14. Lights Motor action is seperate from Indiana Jones Stunt show.
  15. I took my Brother to Disney MGM studios because he had never been there before. We got to the park at about 9 am. There was a sign saying that the Chronicles of Narnia and Tower of Terror were closed..... I was not pleased about this... But, halfway through the day, tower or terror opened up. Lines weren't to bad. Aerosmiths rockin' roller coaster was the longest. But, we got our little fast passes from the booth, and came back an hour later, and the wait was only about 20 minutes. For those who have never seen the Indiana Jones stunt show, I would highly recommend going to it. I have seen it a few times before, and it still catches me by surprise in a few parts. I also went to the stunt spectacular with cars, motorcycles and jetskiis. I have never seen this attraction before, and thought it was very neat. Those little cars have motorcycle engines in them, they were pretty powerful. Also, I went on the backlot tour, same as always, but interesting to those who have never seen it before. Last one. Until next time...... They light up this whole place with Christmas lights every Year. It's amazing. Looks real doesn't it? Downtown New York, or is it San Fransisco? Entrance for the stunt show. Black cars represent the bad guys. Herbie the love bug! Got plenty of em'. Baddest car around. Epic stunt spectacular Part of the backlot tour Last Indiana pic Sorry I couldn't get a better picture. Plays just like the movie. 2 different stages in Indiana Jones stunt show Indiana Jones stunt show. Come back to star tours soon! Buy yours today for the low, low price of 1 million space bucks. C-3PO says Hi. Command central This tour pod is down due to lazer blast malfunction From Luke Skywalkers point of view. Time to go in... Kind of an old ride, but still cool. Star tours anyone? This is NOT the actual coaster track, but, that would be cool. That's a mighty big guitar you have there. Aerosmith's rockin' roller coaster And one more Another... Tower interior And one more of the outside. Another shot... There it is...... The best ride there Disney MGM Studios... I believe this is Mickey's apprentice hat.
  16. I have a few videos of Halloween Horror Nights that are pretty neat. If anyone has any idea of how to post these, just drop me a line and let me know.
  17. Okay, went to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando on October 7th. Let me apologize up front, I took a million pictures, but these were the only ones that turned out. We did the parks all day, then came to Halloween Horror Nights after dark. It made for a very exhausting day, but had fun. My Brother was down from up north, so I wanted him to see all he could. Universal Studios closed at 5 pm. Then opened back up for HHN at 6:30. It started off a bit slow. But once the sun went down, it all opened up. I think it's a bit better that it's only on the Universal Studios Side. Everything was a bit more compact. Therefore, giving you alot more bang for your buck I think. We got the fast passes online about a month ago. I really didn't want to spend that kind of money. But truth be told, it was worth it. I have gone in the past, and it was an average of 2 hours wait for some haunted houses. With the fast pass, I never waited more than 15 minutes, even when the signs would say there would be a 200 minute, that's right, 200 minute wait for the regular lines. The fast pass also got you onto the rides at the park, which most were open all night long. And the bill and ted show, you get up front seating for that as well. Bill and Ted was awesome this year, as it is every year. They show it like 5 times each night, so, if you miss one, you have plenty of opportunities for the other times. I also liked the haunted houses this year. Having the old ones back again worked very well. The only thing I would change is that they didn't have enough "Scare Zones". Aside from that, well worth your time. Okay, I feel the need to say this. If you drink, don't be stupid. The staff on hand had VERY LITTLE patience for drunk people. And trust me, there is alcohol everywhere. I personally saw at least 2 people being escorted out of the park. To include one "heckler" who was picking on the girl that opens up the Terminator 2 ride. So, all you booze hounds, you have been warned. I will be going again on the 14th, with a different group of friends. I will try to get better pictures this time. Might actually have to read the directions for my camera. I will also be going to Busch Gardens Tampa Howl-O-Scream Friday, I will have pictures for those as well. If you want really good pictures of Halloween Horror Nights, there is one from Jarmor I believe, that is also on the posting page. side view, he was waiting in line for psychoscarapy This guy was hilarious and Scary, all at the same time Lines were long if you didn't have the fastpass. Follow the signs Lots of fire, everywhere. Awesome show, as it is every year Bill and Ted's excellent show One of the few haunted walk ways Off to make trouble. I don't see any trees anywhere, what are they doing? You talkin' to me? Try carving this one Wow, I am really short tonight. Don't let the chainsaw fool you.... Need a date? City Walk Lit up
  18. Okay, this is our last day here. Funds drying up. Running out of clean clothes, and my camera is on the fritz. By far this is my favorite park. I bought the 2 year pass with my Bealls receipt. 2 years for the price of 1. For those people out there as geeky as I am, this is an excellent deal. Both parks, as often as you want. Can't beat that. There is rumor that they will start offering the Fast Pass option on passes as well. Anyone with info need only email me, thanks Hit the park running by 10 am. I wore a dark brown shirt, because that is about all I had clean. This is a bad idea. Light colored shirts are ideal. The sun was a killer, that is until it started raining..... 3 days at the parks, 3 days of rain. I am sensing a pattern here. Somebody please put a call in and stop this rain madness. Thank you for your concern. Got the fast pass for both parks. I don't know why busch gardens or disney offers this handy little pass, it's a bit more. But, when you are cruising to the front of the line on every ride, you know your money was well spent. Come again Soon!!! Last Hulk Pic, Promise nice curves lots of fun Not for the queasy. the HULK anyone?? This is the way Dudley Do Right rolls. Holla Terrific, more rain. I hope this car has Tyrannasaurus insurance. He should have bought a fastpass.... Lines weren't that long today though. Nice, refreshing and scary for little sisters. Ooooo........ This could be scary. Sinbad has done this particular voyage more than the sign says. So intricate. Obey the rock or suffer his wrath. Great for the kids Wolverine sends his best. I love this ride as well. There it is.... Nice view of it all.... But is that rain??? Blast you rain gods... Apparently, this is where the adventure begins. Onto..... You guessed it. Islands of Adventure. And I don't even have to walk far. Too early for a margarita. But, I could go for a burger.... maybe later. Just in case some might have thought this was Disney or something. Hmmm.... Hungry? I could stay on this all day. One of the best experiences in the park. Here we go The MUMMY..... Awesome should just about cover it. Outdated, but interesting. Earthquake, very entertaining. I told JAWS that those underwater wires would be his undoing. He's just misunderstood. Oh crap, there he is. And he doesn't look happy. Wow, JAWS must be around here somewhere.... Nice lighthouse. I wonder if I could live here for awhile? Where is that JAWS character? Could that be...... JAWS? You can read. You are not stupid. Getting geared up for the hunt. Fine attention to detail. Men in Black. My shooter scores are very bad I think Ditto fits in here as well. I hope they NEVER take this ride from the park. Great spot for the kids with ADD. And Adults with ADHD. Oh, a shiny penny! Ummm....... Animal Actors I bought some reese's at ET's shop. A MUST see for first time goers Again, Ditto. Very neat show. Animal Actors Jump in and cool off. Come early, beat the lines. Terminator 2. Little sis plugged her ears and closed her eyes for most of the show. Ditto I don't care how old you are, this ride is cool. Nice welcome sign Great place for lunch Took a pic this time of parking spot. No repeats of yesterdays hour long hunt for the car at Seaworld.
  19. Okay, day 2. Disney Magic Kingdom was a blast. Little sister wanted to try Seaworld because she is a huge fan of Sea creatures. Day started off great. Saw the Shamu show, as well as the dolphin show. Really wasn't that crowded. Somewhere around noon it started pouring. Good old Florida weather strikes again. Spent much of our down time in the gift shops. Lots of money was spent. This is day 2 of our 3 day visit to the parks. Universal Tomorrow.... ADMIN EDIT: please don't add dates to the calendar when doing Trip Reports Bring me food. Lest I destroy you. NO WAY was little sister getting anywhere near this thing. nature's laziest creature. Please do not hit with boat. Gotta stay out of the rain somehow. Will work for fish This was a neat little show with walrus's I believe. Ooooo...... Dolphins. Acrobats and sea creatures Stingray tank. You too can feed the rays' for the low price of 4 dollars. Oh wow, rain. How surprising. Fish out of water. Best time at the park. No beer was found on-board. I am a delicate flower. Saving gas Those sitting up front might get wet. Look at me please. Quite a show. Shamu's big show. Indoor Whale tank little baby dolphin tank. Wow, that's tall. Yeah, finally here!
  20. Alright, I have done this before, this will be my second time. I put up a TR for Busch Gardens Tampa about a month ago. Hopefully I do this one a little better, and look for any input to make it so. I just came back from overseas with the army, and wanted to take my little sister to the Orlando Theme parks. So I flew her down from Kansas which was her first time on a plane as well. Thank God for the PSP, really helps pass the time. She is 8, so she was a bit weary of the scary rides. We did much of everything though, and had a great time. We also did Seaworld and Universal Studios, all coming soon.... Thats all for the day. Tomorrow, Seaworld! Indy speedway. Lots of fun This place was a madhouse. Starting to get cloudy Looks like fun Didn't ride either. Can you guess why? Little Sis strikes again. Yep, in case you can't read. It's splash mountain. Another ride not ridden by us.... The drop was a bit much for sis. Couldn't get my Sister to go on this. Because it had "Scary" in the title. Numero dos! I have never been on this before. Very entertaining. Updated pirates of the Caribbean. Johnny Depp's character was very similar to the movie. Neat little ride. Classic ride. If I spoke 23 languages. I might be able to follow along. It's a small world ride... I don't remember this structure from before. Dumbo's ride. My sister rode this 3 times. I rode once, that's enough for me. Winnie the pooh I admire this spinning ride from afar. Oldie but goodie Buzz lightyear to the rescue!! The park wasn't to crowded today, well not yet anyway tomorrowland, how futurisitic. Walt is here to welcome us with Mickey. Nice castle. Have any rooms to rent? Woo Hoo, we are here. Disney magic kindgom PSP should be called KKB.... Keeps Kids Busy
  21. My trip to Busch Gardens. I found your website while deployed overseas with the army. I really like how you set it up, and thought I would try and put a photo TPR now that I am back in the states. Let me know what you think, and any suggestions you might have to improve it. The pictures might be a bit pixled, it took me a while to figure out how to do it properly, next time I'll get it right As usual, the weather was hot and muggy before the sun even came up. Was up there right as the park opened. Tried heading straight to Sheikra, but for some reason they have a bit of the park closed off until 0930, maybe someone can tell me why they do this. Saw a few people fall down and bust their butts because people like to run, even when the ground is wet. This made for good entertainment. The lines weren't to bad, the longest we waited was about 40 minutes, and that was on Sheikra. This was my first time on this ride, and thought it was amazing. The 200 foot drop put my stomach into my throat. The ride was a bit short, but overall very good. Hit 3 coasters in 45 minutes, ate a big breakfast before doing this. Was this a good idea? Probably not. My tolerance for these rides is not what they used to be. Spent about 30 minutes in the arcade with the air conditioning letting my stomach settle. Also went into the new 4-D theatre attraction called "Pirates" which was very interesting. Leslie Nielsen doesn't seem to age. A few of the pictures you see on here are from the skyride, it was the handiest ride of the day. Got here a little early Fine attention to detail Stop off for some refreshment? Nice view Just Chilling Nice way to cool off Stanley Falls Flume ride Please, Please, Please... Stow all valuables before the ride Seating is awesome on sheikra Not good with heights More Sheikra pics, I have TONS 200 feet straight down, up comes breakfast.... Sheikra's wicked twists and turns Read on The old ways Harley... Well, you can read Montu Katonga, great show View from the skyride Something for the kiddies That's alot of hamburger....
