I am so impressed with this park right now! I dunno how many people here have suffered a flood, but it ain't easy! If I were in the area, I would totally go, just to support their efforts. JOB WELL DONE!!!!

My first 2nd Gen Tower... awww, oh well, time for progress.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree that these animatronic hippos need "saving". It's a ploy by radical vegetarian activists that smell like paychouli oil and B.O.! The hippos are fine! They enjoy their surroundings as they've entertained, and been well kept, for years! There is no cause for alarm. Just ask them! They'll tell you!

Not even close. Yamaha goes 62 MPH, and 164 feet high.

Leave it to Dolly to stand up to the big boys. Take that, Six Flags. LOL

I thought Mammoth was disappointing.

I've often wondered why Leviathan has never been used as a coaster name before.
For the exact opposite reason CF changed the name of Banshee to Mantis. Religious leaders called on the name change.
Now here we are, and we have Leviathan, a monster mentioned in religious scripture. I like the name myself, but you know someone is going to whine about it!

This is an odd breaking structure for B&M, isn't it? or is this something else?

Just like you only need to run Superman: The Escape at 100MPH long enough to get the notoriety for being the fastest roller coaster in the world. After that, you can run it at 80MPH for the next decade...
This made me laugh! It's pretty much an industry standard, Disney excluded.

Wow, when you flail around a $9 Million figure, you don't expect a disappointing waterslide. I'd say the park got ripped off. Don't get me wrong, it looks fun, but $9 Million?!?!?!? That's 3 Sponge Bobs!
-
I think it will be their first steel coaster, probably a family ride, flat rides don't come at $9 million. Also note, family coasters are pretty fast these days, will this be their fastest ride to date?

For as much as I hate the idea of "yet another social crap", I decided to set an account up for work, as well as one for myself.
For work, I don't know how well this will do. (News media outlet)
But for myself, I think it's great! Anyone who uses an android phone will appreciate the personal integration of everything you've ever done with google, including youtube, picasa, phone contacts, gmail, email, etc, etc, and etc. I didn't realize how much of my online life was google based, and they put it all together, in a neat package, that I can now share with friends, and still keep acquaintances and colleges at a distance. (Unlike Facebook, where a friend is a friend is a friend, you really control who sees what very easily!)
I can see this replacing Facebook in a couple years, and it's DEFINITELY a nice twitter replacement today. I even see this killing LinkdIn in less than a year, because of the way you can handle the people you know, and no "spam-requests" or paid accounts infamous with LinkdIn. Just very well done!
There are more Android users now than iPhone, by a small margin, but this may just multiply that even farther.
So far, I'm giving it 2 thumbs up, anxious to see what's next while it's testing.

The Pipeline coaster actually did come to fruition at a remote little amusement park in Kuwait of all places, however, it is the only currently standing one and SBNO at that.
I'm confused. The 2 that were built were built by Intamin/Giovanola, not Arrow, which I thought coined the phrase "pipeline" as a model name. (Seems that RCDB and Wikipedia call this type of coaster "pipeline", but again, I thought that was the trademark name for Arrow's version. Togos were called Heartline coasters, if I remember correctly.)
Also, seems these rides were partially tire-driven, unlike ultra-twisters and Pipeline, which were gravity driven.
Anyone got any more definitive info on this?
EDIT:Typo

ala, announcement is on August 3, 11AM, at the Holiday Theater.

Actually, the 2nd and 3rd video are of the same stock footage.

I turned 40 this year as well. Yea, my body ain't what it used to be. I tend to sit out almost all spin-n-pukes now, as well as rougher coasters. It's been a while since I stayed at a park from open to close also. I want to do a TPR trip eventually, but when I do finally get to do it, I might be the purse holder a lot. LOL

^Or Hard Rock Park...

When I was younger, and I'm sure it was on this forum somewhere years ago, I used to express my dislike for FastPasses, Qbots, or whatever they were called at the time they started using them, and I'm sure I called them unfair at some point. I would like to retract my statement. (Where ever the heck it is on this board, I tried to find it. LOL)
Now, I'm an old fat lazy drunk with a couple extra bucks. When I go on vacation, I want it all, and I'm willing to spend the extra money for better treatment so that I can remain fat, lazy and drunk. (Isn't that what going on vacation is about???) It's like when I go to the club, I buy a bottle of Skyy, they give me a free private party booth and sometimes a bartender. Or I pay almost double what everyone else in the place is paying for a hotel room because I want a better view and concierge service.
$50 for no waiting?!?!? Where do I sign up! Let's get it right this time Cedar Fair!!!!

Ikspiari reminds me of Circus Circus' Promenade when it first opened in the 90s.
I can't believe I read through this entire TR. I'm not a Disney fan, but love hearing about Japanese culture! Thanks R&E!

Reamining?
Lift hill, and this this was crooked like a set of teeth in Alabama.Great report, as always.
And they forgot the "close-paren" on this sign, (after the comma on line 4,) they must have been using Open Office...

OK, I fought watching the Pooh video, but I finally did, and Robb wasn't kidding. That is seriously cool technology!!!! Never thought I'd be impressed by a Disney ride. Just wow!

Not necessarily. I'm not into Disney or Avatar. I'm into actual rides, which none of that art has. So, if it were the case that it wasn't said it was Avatar, I'd still be underwhelmed. (Oh, yay, another "area" to walk and spend money in...) <- Sartalics would be perfect here!
Has great potential, hope they do it better than Cars, which looks AMAZING!
