  1. That pic of Main Street is truly awesome! It actually appears to be the Land of Disney, high amongst the hilltops of so and so..!
  2. I was just wondering...with that tragic accident last year in Japan, were you guys extra nervous riding some of those rustbucket coasters?
  3. Oh and PS- I was on the Golden nugget when I was a kid. I remember it being the coolest thing ever and was sad when it closed. I've always been hopeful it would reopen in my lifetime.
  4. Wristbands?!? 75% off extremers?!?! Whoa...we wanna hang out with y'all
  5. Wow..Wildwood is looking great! Do you know if they have a pay one price for all the piers or is it pay as you go?
  6. I don't mean to be a buzzkill, but Led Zeppelin looks just like the Hulk only with some elements in a diiferent order and no launch tube. Sorry, just my opinion.
  7. I'm 6'4 250 lbs and there have been times when the restraints wouldn't close on me. The attendants were proffessional but there is no denying that it can be embarrasing. Always look for the test seats outside the line entrances of many coasters and "try the seats on for size" as it were. But remember; be safe, be smart, be well-informed, and have fun!!
  8. Hello all...I am going to be at Disneyland this wednesday evening through saturday. I hope to include Knottsberry as well. Can anyone give some advice as to maybe what days are better to go to what park, or anyhting helpful like that would be appreciated.
  9. Keeping that place open would be a crime. The Trump organization has let their"permament travelling carnival" deteriorate into near oblivion. It bears absolutely no resemblance to the sparkling jewel that it was as mentioned in the article. I remember even at the age of 4, just prior to the fire, the thrill of the diving bell and the horse; it was the most fabulous place imagineable. However, returning as I did at 39, was myself involved in an accident with the spinning wild mouse. If they cannot restore it in a fitting nostalgic fashion....let the sea take it!
  10. Well; you all were right about Hershey and we loved it. But there must've been something going on at Dorney, the parking lot was overflowing, the bus parking area was so full that other bussews had to park on the street, and the lines at the entrance gates were backed up into the parking lot at 3:30 in the afternoon. Steel Force was down, talon was running one train, and the rest of the park looked impassable...so I threw up my hands in disbelief and went home by 3:45. We were totally bummed out.
  11. I am going to Hersheypark on a Friday and Dorney park the following Saturday. Can anyone help me with what kind of crowds/wait times I should expect? Any insight would be appreciated.
  12. Hey Zenith! I can even remember when that ride existed in Palisades Park. It was about 1970 and they called it the Love Bug. It was painted all psychedelic colors. It rocked! The first drops were similiar( but more intense) to a haunted house layout that was common then, but then the indoor dark coaster blew away any lame neon black-lit theming.
