Homer Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Has anybody been forced to (in school) to take a pointless test? So... today for three hours, the ENTIRE junior class at my school had to take the "FCAT Science" test. So, I forgot about this test until I got to my first period class and on the board there was "Juniors report to room so-so to take the FCAT Science". So, I did, got handed the test, and now on to the most retarded test ever. The lady repeated the instructions on how to do the test, or as I call it, retarded instructions. After that came 50 ridiculous questions of stuff we wouldnt use in real life. Not all of us are scientists... Questions ranged from "Grass reproduces sexually by?" to "What would happen if wolves were introduced into an Elk habitat?". All of the questions were easy and the test was done in 20 minutes. But, the school decided to waste our time by leaving us there for 3 hours. Nothing to do, couldn't listen to my iPod. I actually wished I could be in normal class, and thats a first... So, what is the most pointless test ever?
ParkTrips Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 The test the military gives that tells you what you should become in life. Can't remember the name.
Homer Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 ^You mean ASVAB... thats pointless too, but not as stupid as the FCAT Science.
Teddymonster Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Yeah, I just skipped school all together that day. I don't really care about the ASVAB and didn't then either. Sorry to hear that it sucked.
WillMontu Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I suffered throught the FCAT when it first came out. I aced the math/science section, but did not do so well on the reading section. Since the test was first being rolled out, if one didn't pass the FCAT, he/she could take the HSCT to make up for it. The HSCT, however, was rediculously easy and I aced it. The real reason for the test is so that the government can adjust the funding for schools. Good schools would get funding, bad schools would get funding, and schools in between would get a small amount of funding. Anyone seen those "I survived FCAT testing - 2002" type T-shirts like those coaster ones they sell at theme parks?
