Purzel89
Hi, i want to share my TR of my 2012 visit to Islands of Adventure. Its an european view into an american theme park so i hope i can excite you. The amount of signs was quite impressive for us. And so our Adventure begins here. Me after riding Incredible Hulk. Maybe it was due to the hot weather and the exhausting humidity but that Coaster made me a little sick. That photo does not really express that but believe me, i had to hold to the railing. Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls couldn't compete with the Splash from JR: RA (following next) but the theming and the placing of the waterfall was cool. I didnt ride Dudley Do-Rights. Was too kiddie for me. "Doctor Grant... welcome... to Jurassic Park" No Jurassic Park theming without T-Rex. That does not work. Did i already mention it was hot and humid? Opportunity found, opportunity taken. The waiting line for Jurassic Park River Adventure was okay. Another visual proof that the theming at IOA alone makes a visit mandatory. You can look through the eyes of a dinousaur. Oh crap, you can't see anything! My true reason why i decided to visit IOA and not SeaWorld was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter or "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" to be specific. We were +/- 60 minutes in the waiting line but i have never seen such an impressive queue theming. Too bad i did not take any pictures but you will know this from other TRs, right? As a german i needed my (butter-)beer. I was not so much into kiddie rides, but High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride was a good idea in case of theming and operator clothing. "Do not sit on vehicle!" - So touching it is okay? Wow, impossible in Germany at least in the higher class motorsport series. But NASCAR is the top class motorsport series in the US and they just have a problem with people sitting on it? Oooo-kay...
