liftsifter Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 March 1976 Good afternoon! My name is Edward Simmons and I am the proud owner of the soon to open, Kentucky Ridge Amusement Park. The park will open to the public during Memorial Day weekend, in which we will operate five rides. Thunder Mountain Thrill Coaster, Kentucky Kups, Kentucky Carousel, Enterprise, and Chair-Swings. The following are photos of the amusement park in it's current state. The main entrance to the park. Thunder Mountain Thrill Coaster is the main attraction. The Grand Carousel is the center of attention. Guests can stop and get some lemonade on those hot days. Enterprise might just make you loose your lunch! Kentucky Kups will send guests spinning! Chair-Swings will be a family favorite. I took this photo on my way out. Please join us this Memorial Day weekend!

liftsifter Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 ^ You mean in the past! ----- May 1976 Good Day! It's Ed here, reporting after opening day here at Kentucky Ridge! Guest Satisfaction ratings are high, and families love the park, and the atmosphere! We're happy to say that the park is a success, and will be open all summer long! Not many guests began to enter past 3:00pm. Thunder Mountain received an upgrade! Guests head up the tunnel. I hear there is a light at the end! Enterprise was extremely popular with guests. It is the only ride that will turn guests upside down! Kentucky Kups are already a family favorite! This fence was added for safety purposes. Guest's Services didn't receive a single complaint! -Ed Simmons

liftsifter Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 ^ Let's just say.. wait and see. --- July 1976 We're preparing ourselves for the end of the season, and something monumental. We will be hosting the Governor of Kentucky on August 1, 1976 to announce the biggest expansion of the park to date. This State-Funded addition will help build the park for the future! Kentucky Kups continue to be the park's most appreciated ride! Thunder Mountain Thrill Coaster is waiting for a new part to come in. Enterprise continues to provide a chilling heels-over-head experience! Will it be the only one though? Preparations seem to be moving smoothly! Families continue to enjoy Chair-Swings! This overview was provided by W-TVQ! See you in August!
