coasterdude5 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 It's been four years since Libertyland closed it's doors. That's hard to believe. Since then, I've been stopping by the park every once-in-a-while to see how everything is holding up. This visit was like no other. You can view all of the pictures here: http://www.coaster101.com/2009/09/19/libertyland-abandoned-amusement-park/ The Grand Carousel The entrance of Zippin Pippin. I passed under there too many times to count. There was a cat in behind the door. The old games area is a far cry from what it looked like last time I saw it in 2005. I see the Zippin Pippin! Independence Station is where guests could catch Casey Jone’s train that took them around the park. Picnic tables are stacked atop each other, untouched. As I approached the entrance plaza, it was obvious not much had changed since my last visit in 2008
kidcoaster 2 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Great Shoots thanks for sharing. Though i got to ask. Is th epark open to walk around? Would surprise me if it was.
coasterdude5 Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 There was a road into the park that was completely open and unrestricted. I didn't realize I would get into the actual park, but my curiosity got the best of me.
