Out and About the QC: Trip to Carowinds

First time poster to this forum . . . I like what y'all are all about !!!!!

 

 

Just wanted to share some photos from my recent trip to CAROWINDS on Memorial Day Saturday. Crowds were bigger than normal due to JOYFEST (Gospel Concert); Tons of church groups were at the park right at the start in order to get their rides in before the concert started.

 

This was my first trip to Carowinds since '07 . . . Considering I'm only 10 mins. from the park, I surprise myself that I don't go out there more often than I do !!!!!

 

First time I took photos at CAROWINDS with my digital camera; I also shot a few videos on a couple of rides (COBRA, Thunder Road, & Scream Weaver). Just follow the link and then you'll be able to find the videos (I'll figure out eventually how to directly upload them to here).

 

MY .02 on CAROWINDS: Carolina Cobra was much better than expected . . . Its a short ride but its a thriller!!!!! I'm still miffed that they took out the SUPER SATURATOR RIDE (cars are in storage). With the area the park has, I don't see why they take out rides !!!!! So much has been taken out of there over the years (monorail, mini steam train, log flume ride in NICKLODEON Area, etc.). I hope at some point CEDAR POINT will start bringing some bigger coasters to the park (Top Fuel Dragster would be a good start !!!!!!).
