XII
Well, I am going to Playland PNE in Vancouver this summer and I just have a few questions. How easy is it to get to Playland from Vancouver by using public transportation? How much time will I need to spend there to get everything in? How crowded does it get in the middle of July? Any information would be appreciated.
Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
Having Playland as my home park, I'm certainly able to help you! How easy is it to get to Playland from Vancouver by using public transportation? You could take the skytrain to 29th ave. station and then switch to the Hastings bus (I think it's number 135) or I believe there's also a "PNE" bus that leaves from the metrotown bus loop. How much time will I need to spend there to get everything in? Playland is pretty small compared to like Six Flags or CF parks, but you'd be looking to spend about 2-3 hours there give or take or maybe even less. There aren't really that many rides there, about 50 I'd say? Fair at the PNE is a whole different story though. How crowded does it get in the middle of July? Depends which day you go. The lineups for Coaster and Corkscrew and sometimes Hellavator can get quite packed. Although Coaster is really efficient loading and unloading wise, when it's packed you can expect about 30 - 50 minutes wait if not an hour. If you're going in July, you might even see me sweeping garbage or operating rides or something! (if I get the job that is)
