Groteslurf Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Till 1030 h in the morning, we were going to Movie Park's Horror Fest that day, as the R.I.P. passes for the Fright Nights were sold out online. But then my buddy Hans called me. He went to Walibi World in the morning already and was able to buy 2 R.I.P. passes in the park for my wife and me. So in stead of going to MPG, we headed for WW later that day. At 5 pm we entered the park ready to experience the best Halloween event at driving distance from where we live. Here some pictures of the event. Ending with one last one of the exit of Club Roxy. Eddie's Circus of Horror maze. New this year. Some very good parts and a brilliant claustrophobic exit. Hooray for R.I.P. passes. Club Roxy : my favorite maze this year. I'm always glad when it's dark in Octobre Presenting his Try or Die show. My hero : Eddie the Clown She was looking for a husband. Time to go to church I just love it. Flashing lights on your way and a few scareactors Once out of the maze, you still have to walk through a forest. The exit of the Club Roxy maze. On to my favorite of the event. Exit of the House of Shock maze Bloody fountain He was looking good. Next scarezone : Walk of Death ^ Another Carnival of Freaks scareactor He made me think of a Clockwork Orange He seemed to be on speed. ^ My favorite scare actor of the event First scare zone : Carnival of Freaks
hansrubens Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Don't give me too much credits. Great pictures. I will post mine in this same thread this evening. ----Hans
hansrubens Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Here is my part of the Fright Night pictures. As mentioned above I arrived at Walibi at 10 in the morning and bought some RIP passes for Benny. It was very odd that they still sold them since they were sold out on the internet. There are three Haunted Houses at the Walibi Fright Nights. 1. House of Shock. Since Dr. Shock died last year his patients are running free throught his house/hospital. IMO it didn't change that much since last year when Dr. Shock was still alive. A few opening scenes did change. They give free cake for his funeral and the first room was a condoleance room. Walibi really should change this house. Next year Eddie should rule this place. 2. Club Roxy. Club Roxy is set as an huge underground Club. The queue area is amazing. There is even a bar where you can buy beer and Jagermeister. The house itself didn't change that much but it's really good and a great room with strobo's and fences. And as Benny mentioned the outside part is very cool. 3. Eddie's Circus of horror. My personal favorite this year. Maybe because it is a whole new house but some of the scenes were really good. On to the pics. Since I arrived in the morning I've got some daytime pictures too. I'm sure about that. ^ Out of captions. Wow that's way too close. ^ ^ Some actors near the exit. Some more bar. Some more queue. Thumbs up for that awesome idea Walibi. Ahhh Beer!!! and it even got it's own bar. It got an amazing queue area. Next up Club Roxy. And she found one. She was indeed looking for a husband. ^ Some more actors at Carnival of Freaks. Harvest theming. New for this year a SLC test seat. At the queueline of Eddie's Circus they played his own short movie and some other great video's like Anita Meyers Why tell me Why and the fraggle rock. Eddie's Circus sign. 2. Awesome ride. 1. Awesome Ride Operator. Beetlejuice show. Next up two awsome pictures for obvious reasons. Even Freddie showed up. Awesome. The walk of death scare zone was new this year or I didn't saw it last year. It was a great scare zone. Welcome at Dr. Shock's funeral. Hot chick. Queue area actors at the House of Shock. Carnival of Freaks overview. And put him/her in his coffin. This man picked a random person. Carnival of Freaks scare zone. Creepy. Crap she is. Or is he/she. Maybe he is. Is he a scare actor? ^ ^ ^ I got some weird onride pics. We did some rides too. A set at the Harvest scarezone. Some random theming. Eddie's Circus Entrance. At Eddie's circus they sold some merchandise in queue area. Here was Eddie a lot better. Eddie's Try or Die show. i didn't saw it but I heard it was crap.
Groteslurf Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 Yesterday evening we were again at WW for the Fright Nights. I thought 2 weeks ago that the park was busy but it was nothing compared to yesterday. Both parking lots were completely full when we arrived and later we learned that the park even has been closed for a while during the day because it was too busy in the park. I read on a dutch themepark site that there have been 19000 visitors yesterday. Anyway, we didn't care as we had R.I.P. passes and we could enter the mazes without any waiting line. On to the pictures of yesterday. WW probably didn't expect their Fright Nights to be such a success. Hopefully they will extend the event next year. I would say they should at least double the number of mazes and make the park one big scarezone. They should however make sure they increase the parking capacity aswell. And the claustrophobic exit of one of the mazes. My favorite spot during Halloween Scary ? No, I just want to have you on a picture with me. The scare actors had their hands full with posing for pictures. She still didn't find a husband The later in Octobre, the earlier it gets dark. Hooray. Waiting line for Goliath started outside the normal queue area. Never seen that before. Hello again Goliath. We rode it one time yesterday after a line of 70 minutes.
