Dino_Martini Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 (I did use the search function, but there wasnt a lot pertaining to what Im asking.) Ok TPR. Interestingly enough, my mom was talking to some friends about our trip to Disneyland and what a great time we had (we did, it was awesome, love Disneyland). And the friends were like "Well, now you have to go check out Disney World. Its massive, so much more to do, Universal Orlando is better then the one in California as well". That coupled with a few other things, that were sort of in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Orlando. Now I have school, and my parents are like religious about school attendance so there is no freaking way they would let me take like 10-14 days off from school. (well I could suggest it, but I dont see it happening) So its looking like we are planning for a Christmas Break or a Easter (April) Break trip. Talk to me about the crowds. As I understand it, a lot of people go to the parks during these 'prime' times. The lines are going to be long I know. But how long? We went during a peak summer time to Disneyland and the lines were never over 35 minutes for something like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, California Screaming'. Indiana Jones was a different story, peaking at like 55 minutes (we would be like. pfft fast past and come back) Is that what we can expect during those times? Maybe with the current financial problems being experienced by some not as many will make the trek to Disney? I've done some searching on TPR for Orlando Trip Reports and such, and there is a ton to do it looks like. Test Track, Mission: Space, Dueling Dragons, The Hulk, Rock N Roller Coaster, 'good' Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror (why is it the 'good' version? I thought the DCA version was pretty good, but thats the only one I've been too, will I be able to tell the difference?). A concern I have is Space Mountain. Will Disney be taking it down for rehab any time soon? I would hate to go and have it closed, because I loved Space Mountain at Disneyland. Is it feasible to get to Universal Orlando from Disney World? We did a bus tour thing in California, that got us from our hotel in Anaheim to Universal and then back to our hotel. Should we do one day at Universal? We were done at Universal Hollywood in one day. What about Sea World? one day enough to do everything at sea world? I think that about covers it but I'll think up some more stuff maybe. Thanks TPR!
