Top Scan ride got stuck in Luxemburg.

24-08-08] : On 24/08 at 0:04am a technical problem arose on the X-treme ride, further to which 29 persons were blocked on top of the attraction. Further to the immobilization of the ride all the hydraulic and mechanical security measures engaged themselves at once as expected in these cases. So the 29 passengers were at no time in danger. The fire brigades of the City of Luxembourg have been alerted and knew how to release all the passengers. Nobody was damaged and at no time panic arose. The problem on the ride is probably due to a damage in the transmissions of the main arm, a problem which is not predictable. The ride which was checked by Luxcontrol before the opening of Schueberfouer will be repaired and examined henceforth again by the ITM and Luxcontrol before taking back its service. Next to the owner of the ride, the police and fire brigades, the responsibles of the OFFM (the funfair organizers) and Mme Brasseur from the City of Luxembourg were on place.
