1badgmc Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I've only had the program for a couple weeks now. I haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with it. I've built 4 coasters. The third one I built was an unsuccessful Euro Fighter. I've been basically just playing with the wood coasters because I'm not ready to delve into building all the supports just yet. Let me know what you think. I may post up my other 2 successful projects. 1badgmc1wood.nltrack
thrillrideseeker Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Ok... I would like to start by saying that you had a really good concept! The coaster could be really great, it just needs some work! Now then... things to fix... - Your lift is banked at the start, and the shaping is really strange. It is shaped like a drop rather than a lift. A lift should be straight not curved look at this picture. Notice how the lift is a straight segment rather than a giant curve up? Just make a lift on your coaster highlight it and press "I" that will make your lift straight. - Your coaster has some great head choppers, and then some serious head choppers! If it were real your riders would have been decapitated. - Your coaster is way under banked in a lot of places. - Your coaster has VERY high Lat. G's you tend to want to stay away from high lats. - Your ending helix is way to spread out and needs to be smoothed. - Your train stops on the lift so you need to change the dispatch time. - You need to remove the kicker wheels in the station. Do not just hide them, remove them. As in... do not use a transport device in the station, just make the station slope down. - Your coaster also fails the E-stop test. When there is a train in the station and your ride is e-stop with a train traveling the track... the train does not stop on the break run and slams into the train in the station... not a good thing. - Your coaster also has red Vert. G's in the back row! That is all I have to say about your coaster! It was a good layout, again it just needs a lot of work! ~Matthew
1badgmc Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 Well, like I said, it was my very first attempt with NoLimits and I threw it all together in an hour or so. The end helix is a bit big, but I did that before I really had a good judge of the size of things on the grid and all that. Thanks.
thrillrideseeker Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Again it was a great concept! I like all of the Negative G's. It just needs some work! Try fixing a few of the things mentioned and then repost it! I really want to see how this ride could turn out! ~Matthew
