CHILLERLC1 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 My mother told me about a local travel agency that will go to Germany-Poland at the end of September to the beginning of October on trip themed to visiting the sites where the past two Popes, this current Pope Benedict and John Paul II lived, studied, and such. I was wondering if they were going to stop at Oktoberfest but it's not a part of the official itinerary. They're arriving in Munich for a day in the city and I thought maybe after the scheduled dinner there may be time to take a cab and go to the festival. The demographic of the trip will seem to be older. I was part of a France-Portugal trip where it was such and I ended up finishing all the wine bottles. The rest of the trip looks to be very beautiful and cultural as expected but I might be putting too much at stake to chance. I might be setting myself up for a big tease but it's a chance at the Holy Grail for fairs for enthusiasts even for a few hours. I'm weighing this trip decision this week.
