Six Flags Addict Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Ok so today I got to go out to the park. I was kinda bummed that I was not going to be able to ride EK till Monday, but I'll wait. On my way out of the park I took some pics of EK. I only could get a few good ones from the path but thanks to the awesome rides supervisor, Mike, who let me walk past the ropes to get some pics, I was able to get some close ups of EK...I really appreciated it. Enjoy the photos and while I have not rode EK yet, I can tell you just from looking at it that its not going to disappoint. *Sorry the photos are so large. I would re-shrink them but I'm really tired and I have to get up early for a competition in downtown STL tomorrow.* Thanks for looking. Now get your butt out here and ride EK! Reverse view of the enterance plaza/midway. I really like the lights and the landscaping they put in. The Log Flume got a new coat of paint this year as it is right next to EK. Info about Evel Knievel. One last look at the red train. Missed it by a second. This ended up being my favorite shot. I really like the angle of this shot. It's the red train's turn. More Ek midway plaza. Comin around the bend. (Thanks for letting me get a better view Mike!) Airtime! The drop. Climbing the lift. So right as I was getting ready to walk away, the ride started testing! Another look at the midway/enterance plaza. EK's midway/enterance plaza. The skid marks are a nice touch. I love the sign. When I took this picture there was 14 hours, 12 minutes, and 5 seconds until Ek opened!
coasterdude5 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Looks like a good ride, and they seemed to do a great job with the surrounding area.
