More Cedar Point questions

Right now, my family is throwing around an idea for a Cedar Point trip for me sometime in May, in the period between finals but before commencement, right around the beginning of the season. I've got a couple questions that my family has posed for me that I don't exactly know the answers to.

 

1. How is Castaway Bay? Is it worth it for people who are not water park super fans, but not adverse to them either? If so, how much time, estimated, would be necessary?

 

2. For a two day stay, roughly, are the packages really worth it? We generally never go the package route for these trips anyway, but it's being thought about this time around.

I can't vouch for the quality of Castaway Bay. However you'll probably just need to decide if the extra money is worth it to you. You're probably going to find a big difference in price between it and Breakers Express or something.

 

For the packages I've always found it cheaper to go that route. At least in my case. It's just a matter of doing the number crunching on your own. Write down how much the room will cost with and without a package. Then figure out how much extra you'll need to spend on admission,parking,etc depending on your group size, season passes,etc. Once you figure out how much each scenario costs, pick the cheaper one.

 

Whenever I've gone with 3 friends who don't have season passes, the packages have ended up being cheaper.
