Twister II Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Hey there, I'm just now starting my (fun filled?) adventure into custom scenery! I'm using Google SketchUp 6, as of right now, it's the easiest for me to understand. So I started this thread to see if I could get some help using SketchUp. I'm in the process of making a type of tube. Right now it is vertical, up and down. I want it to go horizontal. Does SketchUp have a tool to do this? Is it the rotate button? If so, I'm having troubles using that, I can't seem to get it down! Is there a way to do this? Or would I need to start over again? In the future is there a way to do this so I wouldn't have to rotate it? THANKS! P.S. ~ Im also having icon problems. I've read SurfingOz's tutorials, and still can't get them. Help with that would be appreciated!
Ccron10 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 It's great to see someone from TPR planning on doing custom scenery! You could use rotate, or you also couldcreate a 45 degree angled square in the middle of the pipe, cut the bottom part of it away (using the rise and lower tool) and extend the pipe to your disired length and cut another 45 degree angle off at the other end of the pipe. Good luck! The only problem I have with creating objects is positioning them to the right place so they show up the right way in the game. It gets easy the more times you create an object.
